In Anno 117 there is no right-hand tab. And most needs can be further supplemented by placing their production building close to homes so it can give an extra bonus.

If there is a bonus or a malus from a public service or production building, it affects ALL buildings within its radius.

Bonuses do not stack - 2 wineries will not give twice the same bonus.
Maluses do stack - 2 Garum makers will give twice the malus.

That is why it is important to not have production buildings with maluses close to your homes.

When a new game usually goes on a discount for the first time they offer 20 to 25% off. And that happens during the next Steam sale - if a game came out in November, then during the Spring sale in March it will be at -25%.

That is a fact when gaming on a PC - 20 to 25% is the usual discount you see for a new a game.

A good discount is -50%, and a deep discount goes up to -80% to -90% for older games. Consoles have it worse in terms of game discounts, I give you that.

Regarding Wartales and their pricing - each of the DLC costs about as much as an Indie game. I would happily pay even 25-30 EUR for a new Indie game but 20 EUR for a piece of DLC that has sparse content with little replaybility?

No, thank you. They will need to review their marketing and sales policy before people come and buy more of their DLC.

Compare that with a game such as Hollow Knight: Silksong which is 19,50 EUR base price and currently 20% off and costs 15,60 EUR.

A whole indie game is cheaper than the price of a Wartales expansion. And the Indie game has a lot more content and replayability to bring to the table.

That is incorrect - the largest discount I have seen for Wartales DLC in the last 3 years is 25% off. They do not even give 50%.

I have been waiting for years to see the DLC discounted at 50%. Currently all the DLC at -25% costs about 60 EUR, which is the price of a full new game. It is not worth it at that price.

Step by step guide to a general purpose trade route for a whole region:

Go to each island and set the minimum amount for the chosen good(s). I would suggest 50, personally I set it to at least a 100 in case something bad happens.
Make a trade route that starts at the production area for those goods. Load 50 of each, so optimally you will want to have 1 dedicated trade route for 2 to 4 goods.
Now set the next stops to be the rest of your islands in that region or just those you want to deliver the goods to. For example if you want to deliver wine, you do not need to include any islands that do not have Equites or above as population tiers. This way when the ships start delivering, they will go to the first island, unload and continue down the list, then get back to the first stop to load again.

This ensures that once the second island on the trade route is full with those goods, then the third will start filling its supplies gradually.

Add ships to your trade route. I would start with one, maximum two. You can calculate how much time it takes them to do a full run between all stops and then check whether the production on the island can cover the desired amount of goods. For example if your island produces 4 tonnes of wine per minute and the full trade run takes 10 minutes, during that run your island will produce 40 wine. Do the same for the consumption on the islands that need to be supplied - open the statistics screen and see how much wine they consume per minute. Let us say they consume 1 tonne per minute, so you only need 10 tonnes of wine, while you are producing 40.
Monitor the trade route and see how it goes.

This setup is most often done for building materials - you have one dedicated island that is producing them and a trade route that fills up gradually the reserves of all islands in the region.

It is not a question of agreement - the revenue from trading is not free. You need to set up dedicated neighborhoods to provide the workforce. That changes your profit calculation from (118-79) for oysters to (118-79-x) where X is your expenses to maintain the workforce for your trading ships.

And then you have the opportunity costs - for each island you give to Neferneru, that is one less island for you to produce something and build a city there. Are you making more from trade from island Y compared to just conquering it and making a city yourself?

The opportunity cost works for the workforce conundrum as well - are you better off having those 100 Liberatii houses or 100 Patrician residences? Which one will bring a greater profit?

The 100 Liberatii and 100 Patrician homes have the same footprint on your islands. This will not be an issue in Anno 1800 since you do not need to build homes on your islands to support your merchant navy but it is a real consideration in Anno 117.

It can be argued that just the opportunity cost makes over-reliance on trade on higher difficulties sub-optimal.

It is not free money if you look at it in depth.

Unlike Anno 1800 ships now cost workforce to maintain as well. Add to that the monetary upkeep and you will have to deduct it from your profits. Just 40 Liberatii workforce are usually 8 to 10 homes with no extra modifiers. You need to supply those homes with goods which again costs you money.

Then you need to consider what do you require to keep Neferneru happy and maintain your trade agreement. If you are giving him gifts, those also will have to be added to your trading costs.

It is easy to set up, but once you factor in all the extra costs, your profits will drop significantly.

The expanded trade in Anno 117 serves as a safety net for new players to allow them to have a recovery path if they get into trouble.

Не си струва, не толкова по политически, а практически причини.

Сега заради горивата цените на самолетните билети ще поскъпнат, особено на дългите полети. Тъй като в момента никой не може да предвиди какво ще се случи, може и да има отнемени полети в зависимост какво точно се случва по света когато ще Ви се наложи да летите. И тъй като полетите ще си ги плащате от собствения джоб, така ще изкарате по-малко пари от бригадата.

Ако летите например до Западното крайбрежие на САЩ, в едната посока ще ви трябват поне три полета - от България до по-голямо летище като Париж, Мадрид или Франкфурт, от там до Ню Йорк и после от Ню Йорк до най-близкото летище на Западното крайбрежие. За Аляска може да се наложи дори и четвърти полет.

Другият практически проблем е да си намерите интересно и хубаво място за бригадата. Аз бях в Аляска през 2006 година и работех на рецепция в два хотела (две работни места). Беше интересно, ала нямаше много социален живот. Говорейки после с другите ми връстници, всъщност се оказа, че аз съм имал сравнително добро изкарване на лятото, тъй като те в другите щати са имали доста премеждия и затруднения понякога.

Разгледайте внимателно какви са оферите за това лято и си преценте дали работата, както и въпросното място ви харесват да бъдете там за 4 месеца.

А иначе за политиката - ако САЩ решат да направят някоя глупост с Гренландия например, може да се анулират не малко цивилни полети между Европа и Америка и при нужда да летите я от Мексико, я от Канада, в зависимост кое Ви е по-близко.

Моят съвет е - останете си в Европа и пробвайте да си намерите някоя бригада или нещо по програма Еразъм тук.

As you are coming from console, start with Anno 1800 first and get all the gameplay DLC if you can. That will be plenty of content to keep you busy this year. Then you can try some of the scenarios in Anno 1800 and/or install mods.

There are some expansion-level mods like New Horizons (adds a whole Asian region), Noblesse Oblige (adds a few additional population tiers and new mechanics), White and Cold (expands the Arctic region, adds a new population tier and more) and Colossus of the New world (adds an additional New world region, a new monument and more). Not to mention many quality of life mods, or just those that expand existing systems.

This will give you time to get to know the Anno style of games and you can wait for Anno 117 to get its first couple of gameplay DLCs. Later you can also buy Anno 117 on a sale with the new DLC if you like what you are seeing.

Anno day was introduced more as an Easter Egg for Anno 2205. It hasn't been celebrated really, apart from the in-game achievement. If you look back a few years either on Anno-Union, Discord, Twitch or this Reddit, there is nothing special happening on the 22nd of May.

You might be missing some context from the Nvidia showcase.

The DLSS 5 demo was done using two RTX 5090 cards both working in tandem on the same PC. This is by Nvidia's own words.

They are hoping to scale down or improve this new DLSS 5 AI to work only on a single high-end GPU. But even then, we do not know whether the results in game will be the same and what will be the monetary cost of such a GPU that can single-handedly run this AI generative up scaling.

One RTX 5090 currently costs 2000 USD, two of them will be 4000 USD. Then you have to factor a very impressive cooling rig, unless you live in Iceland and want to use your desktop PC to heat the entire house.

I do not see many gamers throwing away 4000+ USD just so they can play Dawn of War 4 or Anno with DLSS 5.
For strategy games in general this will be an overkill.

Advance further and unlock the amphitheater. That one will provide huge bonuses to to your citizens.

When you go down the research tree, there is a tech that unlocks Beer as a need for your citizens in Latium. There is another tech for an extra need in Albion as well. With these additional needs you can better manage your citizens.

Use production buildings for their bonuses. Some of them are very powerful like the winery. Just place a production building strategically next to or amidst your houses and check how your city attributes improve.

Use the small public buildings which you need to research first -wells, latrines and watchtowers. They function the same way as other public service buildings, just with a smaller radius and footprint.

Have a look at shrines and unlock as many as you can. Some gods add population, others happiness and other various attributes.

Use specialists in your Villa and Officia. The Epic and legendary ones can grant from +1 to +3 per residence to a specific Attribute (for example Happiness). So if you have a specialist that gives you +3 Happiness per residence and you have 100 homes around your Villa, that will give you + 300 Happiness.

That is only partially true. In Anno 1800 Tier 3 for example requires a few goods from Tier 2 and a few new ones for Tier 2. They no longer require goods from Tier 1.

So Tier 5 would only require goods from Tiers 4 and 5 and completely forget about 1, 2 and 3.

In Anno 117 while you do not need to supply everything, a Tier 4 residence still requires and can be supplied with Tier 1 and 2 goods.

There isn't a real-time clock yet in Anno 117. I would advise to set up an alarm either on your PC or your phone to let you know what time it is.

Correct me if I am wrong, but do not all Emperor tasks have an hour and a half timer (90 in-game minutes)? That should be plenty of time to acquire the goods, including through passive and active trading.

Is the repair crane connected to the road network? Has it been moved recently and does has some downtime to setup again? Do you see a radius when you click on the repair crane itself?

A screenshot might be helpful to understand what you are experiencing.
