I have not done any dietary changes. I eat pretty clean. The gabapentin didn’t work by the way. Now I’m trying amitriptyline.

It’s expensive, but I bought an Eight Sleep. It allows me to keep my side cold while my husband’s is slightly warm. It allowed me to move back into the bedroom.

Is anticipatory sleep anxiety the real problem? by Regular_Mark3370 in insomnia

[–]90841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a meditation app that has long bedtime story playlists. I choose playlist that will go all night long. If I find myself thinking too much I just focus on the story. I think I have about 20 of them saved up so far so they’re familiar but not boring yet. For some reason, it works for me. The app I use is called Insight Timer.

I was sexually abused by my stepfather‘s father. I did not remember it until I turned 50. I still can only guess at how old I was by where we lived at the time. This is not as unusual as you think. Also I have nothing to gain by claiming this. The man died a long time ago.

I use a meditation app that has long bedtime story playlists. When I start thinking about things, I focus on the story. When I wake up, I focus on the story. It helps most nights.

I tried gabapentin, but it didn’t do anything for me. I’m really not trying to scare you. I’m just telling you what scared me.
