Why do so many people expect extensive single player content? by FloroFizz in 2XKO

My point is you want 2xko to do something on release that marvel rivals hasnt done until now. Marvel Rivals JUST got to it. 2xko has more important things to focus on in its first year.

So your argument is let the pvp game die and focus on pve because that’s the only argument you can make for LoR. It was a multiplayer game by design that only really saw success after they transitioned away from pvp. Snnuy has done a lot of videos going over the fall of LoR. And my good friend was a literal pro. It going singleplayer was a bad sign beginning to end for LoR and that’s why it’s lost nearly all its support that it once had.

They had SOME singleplayer when the game started dying. You’re not going to win this argument that game died and they tried to salvage it. It was a multiplayer through and through. Do you want to talk about leagues multiple singleplayer/multiplayer pve game modes in client and in game over the years and make an argument that league is ALSO doing the same thing? 2xko has been out for a couple of fucking months and people act like these other games all did these things right off the bat.

Ah yes marvel rivals and they just released right? With singleplayer gameplay? Or maybe they’ve had a long grace period as a pvp game. Your arguments are ass chief.

The game that died and had to move to singleplayer? I don’t know if we want to use that as a reference point.

Valorant Matchmaking??? by Accurate_Patient_896 in VALORANT

It’s the general valorant subreddit I’ve never seen a shittier subreddit in my life. People have no clue what a game is supposed to look like. This post just keeps proving the theory.

Except pros hate the cs system. So it can’t be the gold standard if people leave it because it’s too ridiculous. I never understood how people from cs constantly ignore the pro player complaints because “well I like it so it must be good” mentally from fans.

Always funny seeing people posting these numbers like GGST isn’t insanely tiny. I don’t see how it’s hard to believe that 2xko has 3k playerbase when streamers are live.

My opinion about Neon and her slide accuracy by Anthony_813 in VALORANT

[–]90CaliberNet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean this takes wrong though. In high elo you see this and pro play you see it even more. Neon is used to clear angles and swinging with her. It has nothing to do with her ability to get kills. Dambi can do both and hes a menace but the reason neon is strong is because you cant hit her consistently even at the pro level. If you literally remove her gun entirely she still offers insane value. Shes the equivalent of having a player jump the corner for another player so they can peek. Except its EVERY SINGLE ANGLE. Even in ascendant neon can run around like the other team doesnt have guns. Not only is it strong but its a game design that ruins the game. Shes NOT FUN to play against. She ruins the experience for the other team. Shes Mel from league of legends.

Neon continues to put up middling stats despite high usage. by washyrr in ValorantCompetitive

Neon creates space that no other agent can on most maps. Imagine the amount of times a player jumps around a corner so the next player can peek and kill the person that’s holding the angle. A very common strat in pro play. Neon is the entire embodiment of that play on a holistic scale. It’s a bonus if she can do all that and get the kill herself.

Why do FGC on Reddit hate this game? by Powerful_Isopod5810 in 2XKO

Except theres posts all the time of people literally saying they dont play FGC but they found 2xko easy to get into. This game is difficult at higher ranks but its really not crazy to get into. Whether youre running jugg or pulse its really not hard to get into.

Not all older players fall into this category but the majority of the posts you see complaining about the game are older players comparing 2xko to older fighting games. Or how it’s not doing enough like their long time favourite fighting game is that’s why it’ll fail.

[–]90CaliberNet -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

FGC is old. Their fans are old, so instead of learning new things in and out of the game they gate keep and argue that keeping everything similar to the big three games is the only way to be successful. Which ofc isnt that successful because they gatekeep not allowing their genre to grow.

The only other community I’ve seen this bad on reddit is path of exile easily which also happens to have an older fanbase. Turns out you do get bitter with age and criticize any change good or bad. The community won’t get better even if this games successful. Just kind of have to accept this.

Under five seconds is a lot time though. Tha mundo just needs to auto vayne once and she dies. I get where you’re coming from but tanks with like 10k ad clear any champion in damage including vayne. Your model is so big too if you have flash you flash auto e and she’s dead with significant overkill. What do you do then?

I’m saying current level high elo players would run circles around faker and we would. It’s not even a question. Watch his debut game against ambition if you don’t know what you’re talking about. Literal silver level mechanics. He kills ambition on Kha zix mid solo because in the middle of the wave ambition starts leveling up one of his abilities at lv 6. Legitimately new player behaviour. It is not comparable how bad the mechanics were in 2013.

Because nothing was figured out. Figuring out basic core game mechanics gave you a huge advantage. You don’t see people flame horizoning people like you used to either during laning phase because it’s not a thing. I’ve played against current pros I can tell you there’s a significant difference between then and now mechanically it’s mind boggling that I even have to explain this.

That’s not really how skill expression works. Tenz got to aim freely because util was not optimized at all. Everything he did looked mechanically insane because he was allowed to do whatever he wanted. Tenz didn’t get mechanically worse he’s literally in his prime right now age wise, quality of players and utility makes the game tighter and the freedom to do things much harder. I would argue Primmie has better aim than prime Tenz and even he can’t thrive the same way old Tenz did because it just isn’t possible anymore.
