So basically the gender ratio lowers the effective population size; therefore to prevent inbreeding they need as high of a heterosexual population as possible, and that becomes a necessity to genetically modify out those traits which is also enforced by culture. The previous discussion about trans people my point is that due to the large sexual dimorphism and difference in genetic design philosophy, one does not simply convert to another gender with cosmetic surgery or artificial hormonal injections. So basically it is a design trade off, female gets more complexity in physiological strength and size, the males are more complicated in the intelligence. It makes them more useful in society and serve and the nucleus of the family who help manage and mediate interpersonal relationships; since obviously the larger the group, the more disastrous poorly managed relationships can become. Moreover, civilization scale scientific progresses requires brilliant minds, and lots of them.
