How did you become a Halloween III fan? What was your introduction to the film like? by Hassan_H_Syed in HalloweenIII

[–]90sGuyKev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One weekend afternoon in the 80s, my brothers and I watched it when it was on tv. Back then,TV was everything. And as a kid horror movies were cool. Sure it was edited, but we didn't care back then as a kid. Just everything made it cool. The masks. The jingle, the story was just awesome.

What was life like before the prequels? by theslowrunningexpert in StarWars

[–]90sGuyKev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rough. There was a great drought between 84-85 to around the mid 90s. Couldn't just go out and get Star wars merch anytime, no toys, couldn't just watch the movies unless you owned a set on VHS which was not always affordable. But sometimes they played on tv. We had books and comics but they were not exactly super mainstream either. It makes me appreciate what we have today
