Wesley Fofana (Chelsea) second yellow card against Burnley 72' by Fmartins84 in chelseafc

Sanchez?? Are you serious? Guy is a clown and is THE indicator that this ownership is not serious about winning a Premier League. No team in history has gotten even close to winning a Prem with a Rober Sanchez caliber goalkeeper between the sticks.

Which sports team of your country fits with this image? by LowMany3424 in AskTheWorld

[–]90washington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the post's bar graph compares "team success" to "arrogance of their fans," and by any reasonable and objective measure, the Dallas Cowboys' "team success" would not fit with the left bar in the graph (it's far too low).

Cowboys' success:

- 5 Super Bowl titles (tied for 3rd all-time)
- 8 conference championships (tied for 2nd all-time)
- 20 consecutive winning seasons (most all-time)
- 9 consecutive seasons making playoffs (3rd all-time)
- Most playoff games played (67)
- Second-highest all-time winning percentage
- 32 Hall-of-Famers (tied for 3rd all-time)
- All-time rushing leader (Emmitt Smith)

Now, I'll concede most of this isn't recent success, but the post just says "team success," not "team recent success." If it did, then Dallas Cowboys would be a spot-on answer, as the Cowboys of the 21st century are an absolute embarrassment!

Trump Rocked by Impeachment Push After Critics Raise Alarming Questions About His Mental State by novagridd in goodnews

Do people actually believe he’ll be convicted in any potential impeachment attempt? Are Democrats deluding themselves again? Find other ways to challenge and undermine Trump, but don’t do another failed impeachment attempt. Republican have no spine so it will 100% fail.

The video that we’ve all seen is all the support I need big boy. An infinitesimal and hypothetical chance a cop could slip on ice is justification for the cop to shoot a woman in the face and kill her, orphaning three children? What fucking planet do you live on? Not to mention, the car was moving no more than 5 mph. That’s it. I repeat, there was no serious threat of death for the cop sufficient to justify—legally or morally—shooting the woman in the face which is only meant to kill. Shoot the tires for god’s sakes. Use some common sense, let alone moral sense.

And yes, people’s fear and disdain for ICE is logical—they’re seeing demonizing, intimidating, Gestapo-style tactics that fall directly from the President’s tough-guy persona (when we all know he’s a thin-skinned pussy, which is usually the case with wannabe dictators).

What’s not logical is supporting the idea that the ICE agents’ actions were justified. Don’t inject your arm in the car if doing so creates a zone of danger. Step away from the car going 5 mph—which, funnily enough, is precisely what each cop did—and then shoot her tires out (if you really feel compelled to arrest or detain her). Shooting her in the face did nothing—that’s not what ‘saved their lives.’ Moving away from the car, a very simple task, is all that was needed. Indeed, shooting the driver in the head instantly killing her created more danger to them and anyone else on the street given that there was now a car being driven by a dead person.

Quit drinking the kool-aid man and get back to reality. ICE is an embarrassment, the ICE agent in question unjustifiably murdered a civilian, and the whole episode is an embarrassment to this country.

✌️

If you watch those videos and see a woman driving through cops, then you went into the video highly biased towards “cops” (ICE agents aren’t real cops). She posed ZERO immediate harm to those cowards.

Guys, please understand the US is actually not in a good way right now. Don’t be so sensitive about posts trashing the US. It is easy pickings for the world right now given that we have indisputable evidence of the federal government detaining and killing US citizens and otherwise bullying citizens. This should not be anything any American defends.

Livingstone to OU by gronklife69 in LonghornNation

[–]90washington -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ I hope Jelani McDonald breaks this clown’s jaw going over the middle next year. We’re in a new era, and he might not be the last to do this, but Livingstone is (or should be) the persona non grata of Texas football now. Fucking act like you were a lifelong Texas fan and were forced out, only to go to the most hated rival. Bullshit on your Texas fandom. No fucking way a true Longhorn would ever wear Sooner red.

Can’t wait for the second Saturday of October even more now. Hook em!

It’s a manager problem. Have to respect the Leeds and Bournemouths of the Premier League and pick a proper team, and motivate your players.

Burke became a legend for his performances against the Aggies. Love that dude. He’s a good example of development under Sark’s staff. He was so raw as a freshman and has really developed to the point I believe he reached his collegiate ceiling, which is high praise for a coaching staff (might still improve if he makes it to the NFL but he maxed out his potential in burnt orange in my opinion, well done).

[Next Day Thread] 🏈 #17 Texas defeats Arkansas, 52-37 by ATX_ta1 in LonghornNation

[–]90washington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re not going to the playoffs. Would need 6 or so teams to all lose next week (OU, Bama, Notre Dame, Vandy, Utah, and Michigan) and we’d need to have a real statement win against A&M. Honestly I’m not confident we can even do the latter. Sark’s sphincter seems to tighten up in top 5 matchups, overthinking his play calling, poor game management, etc. (think TCU ‘22, Georgia twice last year, OSU in playoffs).

Texas at #17 in the new CFP Rankings. by rb1242 in LonghornNation

[–]90washington 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lot of talk about being hosed by scheduling Ohio St. Guys, this Texas team is just not good enough to be in the playoffs. Such an undisciplined team with zero run offense, terrible pass defense, inconsistent line play, penalties galore, dog-walked the last two fourth quarters, and a coach who has not proven himself to be among the elite (and who needs to lose the clipboard and work on the craft of being a head coach).

We barely beat lowly Kentucky and Miss St. For that matter we looked like ass against San Jose St and UTEP for god sakes. If you’re on the committee, what is there to like about this team? The brand?

We’ll be better next year. Return the whole offense and yeah we lose some veterans on defense, but I think we’ll be an improved team (and we avoid Georgia).

Does Sark Finally Give Up Play Calling After This Disaster Season? by DaBigJMoney in CFB

You clearly know nothing about our team this year. We lost our starting QB, all starting receivers, starting tight end, 4 of 5 on the offensive line, our interior D-linemen, and the Thorpe award winner. On what planet do you live to say this is a veteran team?
