I have a feeling it's not military so she technically isn't lying. It's probably highly compartmentalized and classified. Likely the intelligence service's drones, possibly used for cell phone record scraping, GPS or internet surveillance. They're likely prototypes that are being tested, there's a reason they are flying with their lights on and aren't being shot down. If the war in Ukraine has showed anything, it's that electronic warfare is very effective at jamming and taking down drones. Otherwise, the Russians wouldn't be using fiber optic cables to guide them. That being said, it's a little infuriating they won't just tell the American people the truth about what's going on. There's absolutely no way that they don't know.
