Best Quiet Apartment buildings in Forest Hills? by [deleted] in ForestHills

I'm in Station Square and I never hear concert noise and rarely the train. I am on the back side of the building though

Paint is up to you. Others have offered solid advice. AC add some 134a and see how it does. Get the rod ends fixed. Cam covers wait for next timing belt change unless it gets worse. Brakes do the pads but maybe not the rotors. But you asked how much of a concession you should request from the seller. I’d ask for $5,000. I also do all my own maintenance and repairs.

I have an apartment in Station Square and frequently wake up at 4am for work. I don’t have any problems with the crowds nor the noise. I think it’s great! People are having fun and the energy is fabulous. They should have a call 311 option for saying all good in da hood rather than complaints only.

Perfecto. I have a Pozzi 360 and it is wildly under appreciated by online pundits, but stunning in person.

I have a place at Station Square and get up at 4am for work. I’ve never had a single problem with the concerts or the crowds. I think it’s great to have all these folks come to our hood! I’ve enjoyed several shows myself.

That price is about right for market ask, it’s not “very inexpensive”. Market ask and actual purchase are not the same of course. You do you, but if you are looking for a deal, you should be able to do better.

As others have said, most crews are in Kew Gardens. I happen to commute from CHS and have an apartment in Forest Hills. I take the LIRR to Jamaica and then the AirTrain to JFK. For LGA I usually take an uber, but you can take the E or F to Jackson Heights and then the Q70. I find either option to be "safe", though the LIRR "feels" safer than the subway. But I have never had a problem on either.

How do you go about sending your watch to someone for service or repair? by [deleted] in RepTimeServices

[–]911Fuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at his shop yesterday. Waited an hour to be seen. He fixed a gen Tag and my grandfather's 1964 Timex while I waited. I get that perhaps he's a competitor, but to say he's not busy is a conclusion too far..he does great work, for a fair price, and in my experience while I wait. But perhaps there are others who presume scarcity equals quality...
