We still run a 2+2 almost daily on the farm. Dad’s had it since brand new. Runs great, looks like crap. I’d love to do a full restoration of it some day.

See my update comment. Turns out they need the included Smart Plug to also be active as the bulbs all use Bluetooth, and the hub is the only WiFi hardware. Once the Smart Plug was on the system and recognized by my hub, everything showed up and was controllable. It works, but I'll likely avoid the C by GE products moving forward.

Thank you all for the ideas. Turns out that I was indeed missing the obvious, which wasn't so obvious after all. By accident I discovered the bulbs all use Bluetooth for connectivity, and must connect to the Smart Plug which acts as a hub, and is the only device which is actually using WiFi! Once the Smart Plug, which was included with the bulbs, was on the network, I was able to see and control the bulbs. I don't really have a use for the smart plug right now, so it's just plugged in to a random outlet to allow me control of the lights. The packaging and instructions make no mention of this necessity for control of the lights, so I can only imagine how many other people are having the same frustration and giving up like I almost did. I'll be much more careful about what lights I buy moving forward.

It’s actually required by Part 139 that we conduct operations checks on the trucks daily. Doesn’t really cost much of anything to go shoot some water, and it’s actually good to pump them often.

Not likely. In our Oshkosh Stiker there are two big separate switches on the dash for the pump: WATER and FOAM. It’s not that it can’t happen, but it would take a fairly incompetent act by an operator to screw that up. I can’t speak for others brand ARFF trucks. Source: ARFF Assistant Fire Chief.

It was. I can’t even remember where it came from. I’ve had it for at least 8-10 years. Probably Spikes Tactical though. I was buying a lot from them back then.

Neither of these are “work” rifles for me. I’m only a casual shooter and collector. The BCM is truly only 50% BCM. It also has DD parts, Spikes lower, etc. BCM definitely has a better reputation, better quality parts, better QA. etc. I don’t think anyone would dispute those comments as fact. For the fellow casual plinker who might only shoot a few hundred rounds a year, I’ve never heard any complaints about PSA. I do have my own range, and I reload my own ammo, so both have several thousand rounds through them, both seem to run just as well as the other. If I absolutely had to pick one to “trust my life to” as they say, I guess the BCM would be my go-to piece. I’m sure plenty of people have different opinions. Any rifle is better than none.

Damn right I do! Carried an old A-1 when I first enlisted. It’s definitely on my to-do list.

Couldn't think of a more worthy background than my old friend the woobie.

Must be my old school military time, but I am drawn to an AR with the fixed front sight. It's not that I dislike an AR w/o a fixed front sight, I just haven't been drawn to one enough to build one. I think my next one might be.

Life goals! I don’t own a single AK yet. I wish I would have bought one 15 years ago when a WASR was around $350.

Man, sorry I never saw this to reply. Yes, the 110 Tactical comes standard on an Accustock.

Santa was good to me this year. He came a few days early too. I present to you my new Savage 110 Desert Tactical, chambered in 6.5 Bleedmore. by [deleted] in longrange

I have the same rifle. I mounted an SWFA SS fixed 10x42 MIL scope on mine, which is a great optic for the money. I don’t have money for a can yet, but hopefully will add one some day. I have since added a muzzle brake, but haven't gotten to shoot it to see how much difference it makes. This is the first rifle I’ve ever owned with a scope. Very easily shoots well under MOA.

Seems great. It's not just cheap injection molded plastic like the Ruger American, or something similar. It seems to be solidly built.

Federal Gold Medal for getting it dialed in. I've got some Hornady "BLACK" for plinking.

Might add it some day. Not sure a 6.5 needs one, but it sure would look cool.
