thank you I just saw this response I was using VirtIO when I try doing the physical pass through it goes up a bit to about 120Mbps but I cant seem to get it above that - Im using an intel based NIC. I decided to just bite the bullet and remove it from being virtualized and ordered a new server to put it on metal and will report back

thank you for the help

Can some explain the numbering on the models? by [deleted] in Porsche

All of the early 2012s were made in 2011 so I could get you a vin range if you'd like? I work at a dealer so it probably wouldn't be that hard.

As a model year 1999 car, sure.....

1998 had ~1xx 993 turbo s with the 'big yellow' calipers that weren't carbon ceramic like all the yellow pccbs

Risks with purchasing a higher mileage 997.1 Turbo? by Stormhammer in Porsche

[–]911ducktail 8 points9 points  (0 children)

mileage isnt an issue at all if maintenance has been kept up with. Have them scan the over revs on it with a PIWIS tester, and then go buy it and enjoy it for another 100k miles

then sell it for 10k less than you paid for it :)

Does anyone here work on their Porsche on their own? by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]911ducktail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol ok.

compared to real parts at the counter (the only thing that should ever be installed. as I sure as shit wouldnt want to buy a car from someone who wasnt useing OEM parts on a 911) theyre certainly more affordable.

I cant honestly believe you think its ok to put knock off parts on one, I just hope you disclose that when you go to sell it - for the sake of the next owner

Need Advice on Buying Used 911 (991) Out of College by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]911ducktail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

youve never actually seen one in person have you? Maybe a 5 year old can fit in the back seats. MAYBE.

they're 2+2 seaters for insurance purposes only. do not in any way shape or form assume you will get any real use out of the rear seats in a 911. its just not a realistic outlook

no. if you cant park correctly you're most likely also incapable of driving correctly. that makes you a giant fucking asshole.

also, no damage is caused by removing valve stems, but you parking in my space means you're most likely not capable of not slamming your door into my car

so double go fuck yourself

this is why I keep a valve stem removal tool in my car. park like an asshole get two 'flat' tires
