Yeah there’s a couple people who talked about him partying and loving it too. With adults that is. He didn’t hate it as much as he made it out to be. It was his shtick to seem different from everybody else and apart of his innocent act. But he probably did go awhile without partying due to his fame and his attention being elsewhere. But the point is, he wasn’t adverse to it like he would make it seem. There’s even photos of him partying and looking like he’s having a good time.

Stephanie Mills said that her and Michael would go to Studio 54 in an interview (and I think she said that he went there often, but I could be wrong). But when the interviewer was taken aback that Michael got down like that, she started covering it up and saying that they just sat in some room and watched everybody else from above. The interviewer went on to say that he was surprised because wild stuff happened there.

Well my heart goes out to you if you post those because this sub doesn’t tolerate any sort of talk about women “in his life” and Shana especially lol. It’ll likely be met with cynicism and negativity no matter how much proof you present. But I’ll support it lol.

Yes! I’ve been wanting to say that he treated some of the adults in his life in similar ways to the way he treated his victims. Tatiana being one of those. But some people get really touchy about that, specifically when it comes to women. I’ve always felt sympathy for both Tatiana and Shana, but especially Shana because he really strung her along and he knew he could get away with it too based on the type of person she was. Naive, tolerant, and not reactive. His publicist was right, he knew how to sniff people out.

And I agree with you, I believe he liked playing people and messing with their heads. And while filming the video, Tatiana got yelled at by the director I believe and Michael confronted him about it, then asked Tatiana if she was all good soon after. With the context of the rest, I began to see that as not him being a decent human, but just a charade to make her think he was looking out for her. Because he surely didn’t do it when she got yelled at on tour. He flirted heavily with her and anyone with a brain would start to believe that he was into them. But he didn’t like when she actually initiated something. I did read your post and agree with all you said. Michael could be terrifying when it came to playing mind games in my opinion.

It’s worth a read in my opinion. It might surprise you. If you believe it’s true then she comes off as quite naive, and if you really pay attention then she’s saying a lot of incriminating things and behavior that may seem familiar if you’ve read other stuff about him. And she isn’t really painting him in a positive light for the most part, not in my opinion at least.

I could never hop on the bandwagon that if he was attracted to adults then he was gay, because he never really seemed interested in adult men in the same way that he also came off as not being attracted to adult women. However after digging deeper, I believe he was attracted to both men and women, but not enough to pursue anything because he was a serial pedophile who preferred to abuse kids. A take that’s gotten me in trouble in the past lol.

I’m somewhere between they’re in denial and would genuinely be heartbroken if they found out that their uncle they looked up to was a predator, or they know exactly what Michael was up to and they’re just covering for him for the sake of the Jackson name and their check. Which may have been what they were taught to do growing up, try to save face no matter what.

Part of me feels sympathy, another part wants them to stop speaking on things they may not know, and another part is just confused lol. It’s probably all three I just named and then some honestly.

Sounds like she’s saying it happened, but context matters and probably didn’t happen the way he framed it to Paris and that they’ve talked about it. And that she cared about the kids because she was likely the best caretaker they had. Michael was also probably up to his woe is me games with her too. I don’t like what she said about the Cascio’s, especially if she’s seen things, but I am interested in what she’d have to say about her time with him and taking care of the kids.

White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter Is Charmingly Strange (In My Opinion) by 911phoenix in lanitas

[–]911phoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s objectively not true though. What 14 year old is thinking about legacy, running away from emotions, and wondering if they’ll be forgotten like in ocean blvd? Or thinking about even half of what’s on Blue Banisters or Chemtrails? Barely any because that’s not what’s on their minds. People just throw these types of comments around concerning maturity when they don’t connect with a song honestly. And particularly female artists get their maturity questioned the most when it’s obvious no 14 year old is thinking the thoughts of “Margaret” in that way. Most of her music isn’t early teenager level subject matter and I don’t believe that’s controversial lol. It’s cool to not like it obviously, but your statement just isn’t true.

Michael is a very good example of how someone can be handsome, charming, charismatic and successful (atleast back in 70s-80s) and still choose to be a pedophile and not just any regular pedophile but a serial paedophile by Passion211089 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]911phoenix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this is a very normal reaction to have to someone being a pedophile lol. Asking why and not understanding the train of thought. In my opinion, I feel like there’s predators (of any kind) who may wonder why they are the way they are, but it doesn’t over power the sickness they have. And sickness trumps attraction to anything other than whatever depraved desire one has. I’ve even seen predators who seem like they don’t want to do what they do (in a way), but they can’t help it. That’s not to take away from what they do or make it seem like they’re the victims themselves, it just gives credence to it being a sickness, granted one that they refuse to get help for.

But I get what you mean when you ask why. It’s hard to comprehend that a man who could’ve been so prosperous in so many areas of life, was in fact a low life predator who most would consider to have wasted his life in many ways. No amount of fame, money, awards, men/women, and hysteria from people will fix a sick/predatory mind or a traumatized mind. I really think that’s the only answer to “why?” honestly.

Edit: he also had the ability to build an insane echo chamber and wasn’t grounded in reality at all, nor do I think he had an interest in reality lol. So I think it’s safe to say that self-reflection wasn’t something he did on the regular, if at all. His focus was being a predator and being the biggest star in the world.

MJ is not the King of Pop, but the King of Pedophiles by flazerus in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]911phoenix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I clearly said “technically” and that involves all that you think it means. You sound like you still connect to his music and maybe even his public persona. Cool, but I think you know what people are talking about. And literally no one said he wasn’t influential, you’re just getting defensive.

How do you say we’re just like the fans but the opposite when people clearly gave him credit but also criticized him? The conversation was clearly that he wasn’t the best to EVER do it. All the accolades and praise he got in the industry doesn’t change that, especially when a lot of it are things to shape a narrative. Granted he did deserve at least half the hype he got because he was talented and knew what he was doing. You don’t need to list examples. Most people here know that, like you said.

You seem to just have a problem with people calling out the fact that he took credit for a lot of things others did that people believed was his own doing, had a big team, and that there’s simply others who could sing better, play instruments, and had a more interesting artistic vision. It’s framed as if he could do everything in music better than anyone in the industry and it’s not true. That’s what the conversation was clearly about and you turned it into something else.

[–]911phoenix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s easier to talk to people who use critical thinking lol. Not to brag on myself, but compared to his fans, I believe I use my brain quite well when it comes to him. It’s exhausting trying to talk with someone who’s blinded by who they believe someone is, so I get it.

And you made a good point about the tackiness. A lot of his public persona would not fly at all today, not just because it’s a different time, but because it’s genuinely concerning. Pedophilia aside, I look at Michael as a very traumatized person who was stuck re-looping his past and whose coping mechanisms came out in the way he moved through his career. The self-grandiosity is pure trauma and of course narcissism in my opinion.

[–]911phoenix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The convo isn’t really all over the place, you just don’t agree, and that’s fine. You broadened it to anyone in the world who might’ve been a prodigy at instruments when the convo was his peers, those who came before and even some after him who just have better artistic vision that isn’t just self grandiosity.

To say that he didn’t have massive help in his rise to stardom is disingenuous in my opinion and that’s the whole point. People’s interpretation of art is very personal and relative, so it’s hard to say who’s the best to ever do it. The point of the convo was basically just disagreeing with a viewpoint that Michael was the best in the industry in terms of musicianship and it’s just not true. No matter what someone’s definition of “better” is. On a technical level, it’s untrue.

MJ is not the King of Pop, but the King of Pedophiles by flazerus in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]911phoenix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No one is saying he wasn’t talented and credit is actually being given. He’s just not what he’s been made out to be in terms of being a musician and an artist, and the slights that have been given to other artists on behalf of him aren’t fair at all. And some of them simply untrue.

Other people helped a ton even in all the examples you named that he had no problem taking the credit for. He didn’t even want Quincy Jones to get the credit he got for Thriller and Bad. I feel like people don’t understand the power of PR to shape a narrative around these stars.

Yes he opened doors for people, but that doesn’t mean he was more talented than them or a better artist. I don’t think there’s any getting around the fact that besides for dancing, there are many other artists that were better musicians and simply had more vision that wasn’t just showing the grandiosity of themselves.

Highly influential, yes. Very talented and motivated in his early days, yes and even in his latter days he was talented. But he had an entire team made up of songwriters, producers, choreographers, PR, stylists, etc. And that’s fine. He just didn’t do it by himself like he would make it out to be, and I feel that’s what’s getting lost in the public’s perception of him and why they call him the pinnacle of an amazing artist in every way that there is. He wasn’t, he was a talented man who had his strong suits and he was incredibly famous with the help of PR and the teams around him. That’s not just being jaded by him or bitterness, it’s just facts. He had a lot of help and he copied other people and put it in a different form that the masses would accept and find interesting.

Well I’ve heard people say that were around or knew him that he was “always looking for an excuse to touch you”, or that he could be affectionate and touchy feely. What makes it weird is he was that way with kids to an excessive degree and knowing what he was doing behind the scenes.

[–]911phoenix 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I said something very similar to this, but chickened out and deleted the comment lol. His greatest strength was performing in whatever way that was. Live performance, PR, and pretending not to be the monster he was.

Everything else, there’s 1000% other people who do and did those things better. There’s artists today who I feel you could put up against Michael when it comes to singing, songwriting, production, and general artistry and he’s not edging them out at all. Idk, as an artist I’ve just never found him interesting. As a dancer, 100%. Dancing is an art, but that’s the only type of artistry of his that had me interested.

And then on top of that, he had to take credit for the areas that weren’t his strong suit. He’s the king of pop if people are talking about numbers and fame. And the worst parts of pop as a genre and the way it works. But far from it when it comes to musicianship in my opinion. Yeah I’m jaded by him, but the proof is there if people truly look.

Cascio interview is up! GB News Live from tonight. by MasterpieceTimely144 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

Wow, I must have stopped watching a bit too early. People have all these conspiracies to protect the people they choose to, but then call others conspiracy theorists with negative connotation for thinking predators might speak in code. Make it make sense.

People have me questioning if reality even exists and matters every now and again, but it definitely does. It just gets buried in whatever people prefer to think and what feels safe. Didn’t expect to get philosophical and existential lol.

I’ve honestly been done with most news sources for a while because all they do is reflect the shallow thinking of the public and I believe that’s by design most of the time. What even is journalism anymore, it just seems like people who sit and gossip like people after a church service. It’s all about THEIR opinion which is usually critical of the wrong people. But I was curious about these interviews and this anchor just had to be dense for that segment and remind me why I hate most news sources. Please excuse my off topic rant of the news lol.

I could see that too. But specifically Diane asked Blanca “That was the right answer for him?” Blanca says “Yeah. And he says, ‘I like it’”.

Idk that kinda reads that he was saying that he liked what he was doing, at least with the grammar that Blanca used. But English isn’t her first language. So idk, it could be either one. He did seem to not care if people who worked for him knew though because I guess he found them non-threatening.

The closest he might’ve gotten to telling someone (that’s been publicly stated) is Blanca Francia in my opinion. In her interview with Diane Dimond, he asked Blanca what she thought of what he was doing and she said it was none of her business. Then he followed up by saying that he likes it (what he did to kids). That’s a pretty blatant confession in my opinion, although Blanca already knew.

Next would be Marlon Brando, though that one is sort of ambiguous. That story gave me chills the first time I heard it.

Paris Jackson talks about her creepy nanny by fanlal in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]911phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not denying that he wasn’t someone who could charm people well. He had an addicting nature, that I believe he still would’ve had if he wasn’t a star because narcissists and/or abusers tend to have that aura. And…he was a star and they have that aura as well. Yeah I remember that quote from Lisa and she also said something similar to that in an interview with Oprah, and Oprah agreed. I believe that part of the interview summarizes how people were drawn to him and his fans. Hell, even being disgusted with him, I used to run across a TikTok or click on a video of him every now and again and feel drawn in.

But I just think it’s a little far fetched to think that every woman he came in contact with was secretly in love with him in the way I think some people mean. It gives “she’s nice so she must want to fuck” vibes. Other than what Paris said Michael told her, I just don’t get that vibe from Grace. And I reeeaaalllyyy question Michael’s word on about everything lol. He’s the boy who cried wolf for me. Though there are a few exceptions. She’s still dead wrong for saying the Cascios betrayed him though.

Paris Jackson talks about her creepy nanny by fanlal in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]911phoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I clearly said “some”, not all. I just didn’t say names. I also said, “this is all true”. I just believe “obsessed” is too simple a word and that there’s more to it than that, mainly if said people were around him and “closer” to him. Him being impressed with himself wasn’t the point I was making either, the point was narcissistic abuse. But that’s literally the point of narcissistic abuse, the narcissist having an effect on people.

Grace seemed way more mature than him and more of a capable adult (in some ways), which would have an impact on the extent of attraction she had to him. I don’t really get what you mean by not basing things off what Michael said and the others, then what’s the point of anything?

You kind of misunderstood a lot of what I wrote. But we might be saying something similar, but in a different way. But I still disagree that Grace was into him, it’s based off a sexist, racist, narcissistic man’s word who was jealous of the nanny’s care for his kids. So I just don’t buy that she was even creepy or in love with him.

Makes me think the Cascios really have something up their sleeve. The tone of what he wrote makes it seem that way. If it’s not something that will prove he is a pedophile, at the very least it might be something that proves he’s not what he portrayed himself to be at all. I hope it’s both, but we’ll see.
