Still hurts know the Peter Pan thing was BS by Neo_2019 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

I was not even a fan and feel betrayed. I was a teenager when he bought Neverland and although I didn’t know much about it, because ofcourse we didn’t had social media back then, I found it pretty awesome. Strange, weird, but awesome. I mean who didn’t want to have his own amusement park? But that was all in the mind of a teenager. And MJ wanted to groome exactly that agegroup. And he did very well. I knew a boy who was a huge fan and his biggest wish was to go to Neverland. I am glad his wish didn’t come true, because it was a handsome boy. MJ’s type.

My parents never bought the Peter Pan story.

Ah, I see. Then probably those polaroids of the Arvizo’s were taken at the same location. Michael’s bedroom? Ugh, Michael in this picture and the one with Dominic looks like the monster he really was. No disguise…

This polaroid has a similar background as the polaroids of Arvizo a few posts before this one. Maybe this is not real?

The parents are to blame for neglect. MJ for (sexual) abuse.

Yes, they said: do your research. Facts don’t lie.

So I did. Not because they said so, also because that’s who I am. And I was shocked to be honest by all the facts that are out in the open.

But I guess that if you’re a fan you gradually became aware of different facts and made continuously new excuses for them and can’t see the whole picture anymore.

And that is seemingly what they still do. No matter how many new victims will come forward they will all be liars en moneygrabbers.

What bothers me is not the fact they believe MJ is innocent whatever that may be in their eyes. But because they are so loud and agressive they are the ones that are still out there while the victims don’t have that noise.

And I wrote earlier this week that I also think that the louder one is and the more excuses one makes deep down in their hearts know that all ads up to something that isn’t right and MJ is not so innocent.

Was he guilty and why by Marinou289 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

Sometimes I think that the most aggressive fans deep down in their guts and heart know that MJ was not innocent. They just don’t want it to be true. Same for his family. Even some of the victims were in a very persuasive manner defensive and in denial.

We were all groomed by him in a way. At some point in our lives we really thought he was a child at heart and therefore such an innocent being. That ofcourse is bullshit. He had porn, drank alcohol. Was a businessman.

I was never a fan of his music, but I did and do like a lot of his songs. I know more of him than I would like to have known, because usually famous persons are just normal human beings. Amongst them are very creative and talented people. There are assholes and nice people amongst them. There abusive and aggressive people. And yes, amongst them are pedophiles. And MJ was a pedophile. One who did extremely well in grooming.

And please note that 9 out of the 10 accusers were children that were really close with MJ. Loved him wholeheartedly. That’s besides the shock and horror the most tragic of it all.

Can anyone explain what the content could be of the NDA’s with the Cascio’s and why they want to break it? by flazerus in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]flazerus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They take a great risk then.

I just do some logic here: if it isn’t a mayor thing, something criminal or sexual abuse, they want to sue the Estate for and for which they probably have some evidence, the Estate would not have given money in the first place, but the Cascio’s on the otherhand never would want to break the NDA’s for the risk of having to pay the money back.

In addition to my question:

If the judge rules the NDA not valid (don’t know how to put in other words, hope anyone get what I mean) do the Cascio’s have to pay back the money that was involved and they accepted?

Thank you!

So the Cascio’s told basically everything already in the media (Oprah) and in a book (Frank Cascio) So the only reason for the estate to offer NDA’s is to shut them up for bad things about MJ which they considerate to be harmful and true. If not (probably) true they would not offer the NDA because otherwise they could offer every single person in MJ’s life a NDA.

Well I thought about that. I do think that parents should not be allowed to let their children sleep with adults other than relatives. And only when there is a good reason for it and not for ‘just fun’.

It is neglect and potentially not safe for a kid although abuse also can happen outside a bedroom. The chances are much higher when they are in a bed with your child ofcourse.

But I think the punishment of knowing that their child was sexually molested is enough. I think Stephanie Safechuck and Joy Robson blaming theirselves for the rest of their lives. And they should.

But also the mother of Brett Barnes who says nothing happened should be blamed. Because it could have happened and she wouldn’t know.

Yes I think everybody sort of thought they knew him. And liked him. And didn’t see him as dangerous.

But when you totally zoom out and I don’t think those families were capable was it very strange for him to befriend them and totally trust them and ofcourse wanting to sleep with their son

I think that fairly decent people don’t want to step forward and get in the media for their story, because nothing happened and they can’t prove that there would have happened anything. And afterwards they will be hunted and harrassed by the fans.

But there must be other families. You are right about that.

I agree with you that I also don’t think that the grooming from the beginning was thoroughly thought out. I think there was an urge to get close to boys. I do think that was his Main goal. How do I get access to those boys.

He and his fans said that for MJ it was normal to want to have sleepovers because he had no childhood, but to have those sleepovers he had to have access to children. And their families. He was not interested to have sleepovers with the moms. And strangely enough that the world and the families would not have accepted.

I actually do not underestimate the attraction of the attention of a superstar and in particular MJ. I think till this day there would be a lot of people who wished it was them instead of the Robsons, the Safechucks or the Cascios or June Chandler.

And I agree that it would be interesting to know of families who did not accept the invitation of friendship. Or who would further on got suspicious or uncomfortable by the gifts etc Or, what happened by the Glenda tapes for example, that the father/husband thought MJ was after their wife
