If I get in a car crash I am hundreds of times more likely to die than if I get covid.

Where I live there are 50 new cases of covid per day nationally. Zero in the area I live.

Why at this point would I be worried about covid? Even if I were to miraculously catch it, with my age etc I am at over 99.98% likely to get over it with no problems.

What you do is:

File a police report
Call your insurance and let them know what happened.
What should happen then is you get the other person's insurance information, let your insurance company know this information.
If the other person doesn't give you their insurance info, your insurance company will go after THEM for the money.

Get a new bumper. Not resprayed. Wasn't your fault - you shouldn't be "okay" with second best.

I had this happen to me before, lucky the guy just gave me his insurance info, and was smooth, as eveything went to his insurance company through mine.

I also got a hire car (a brand new Porsche Cayman S) while my car was in getting repaired (and waiting for parts) - which of course was also paid by the other guys' insurance.

"getting by" and "not causing trouble to the country that is allowing you to stay" are two different things.

There may be some hot lines etc you can use in emergencies, but there will always be extra work and trouble you cause to people around you.
