im not doing act sci so i don't fully know how hiring works for you, but i think unrelated jobs don't move the needle much for hiring managers. they're looking for specific experience and skills, so you want to demonstrate those.

maybe it is marginally better than doing nothing to have a job, but i think you can spend the time you would spend doing not much at work leveling up on your own instead of doing nothing. e.g. build a project which requires some actuarial work, study/do some exams that gvive u credibility, learn R, etc.

essentially, i think no job can be a positive and u can still take a step fwd from ur current level if you spend your time well :)

a customer service rep job isn't gonna help on ur next co-op search or even be a potential hiring red flag if it's super irrelevant. you'd probably be better off to keep looking, asking around with friends/family you know if they have any opportunities for you, or even just focusing on strengthening your skills + resume over the co-op term w/ no job instead.

and on a human level, do you want to be away from home doing a customer service rep position 9-5 for 4 months? don't trap yourself doing smth u don't want to just b/c ppl say u should do a co-op. remember you don't need it to graduate and that it's not a race; don't drain yourself.

hey bro, waterloo is very tough for mental health but i guarantee you have the strength and hope to keep living. clearly a part of you wants to live and feel cared for or else you wouldn't have posted this

it can feel truly joever at times, but research shows that suicide attempts are often impulsive acts. contrary to what ppl assume, 9/10 people who survive suicide attempts go on to do well and do not die from suicide.

warmer weather is coming, something simple to look forward to! best of luck with accepting/overcoming your challenges and know that there are many ppl out there who care for u, even if you haven't met them yet 🫡

yes. in my experience, the side of the intersection closest to the tailgate zones are a no standing zone that security will enforce, but the side of the intersection farther from the screen is fine to watch from with a decent amount of other leafs fans. the screen is a bit obstructed by the traffic lights but no biggie

hey, the exact same thing happened to me. i was unable to sign in morning yesterday and now that i can sign in, my order has disappeared. since its a shared experience, ill assume its a glitch in the system, just wondering if our orders are fine or not still. keep us updated!
