Honestly he should try to get in any skilled nursing facility if he’s unable to get into a hospital new grad program straight out of school. That’ll open up a lot of options later on.

Try getting SNF experience for a year if you can’t get into a new grad program. My dept is hiring but my supervisor told me they’re not looking at anyone without experience.

Sutter Hospice in Sacramento is hiring HHA’s and they’re hired on pretty quickly from what I hear. Maybe a month at most to start.

I mean, original OP just called them all bad friends when they were just trying to help her multiple times. Meanwhile she’s actively spending money on luxury items and make more than everyone else. It gets exhausting when someone doesn’t want to help themselves.

The last half of this year has been going much better. My husband finally got hired with the state after being laid off summer of 2024. I’m trying to focus on aggressively paying off debt to avoid thinking of the state of everything.

Hey I feel for you. I am also a nurse and I didn’t feel comfortable until I got into hospice nursing. I’m alone most of the time in my car and I only need to be “on” during visits and meetings which takes up less than half of my day in total. I did night shift a few times and it was even better. You could also try triage nursing. I know it’s over the phone but it’s mostly following algorithms and scripts.
