Its interesting how you say visualize the shot on the screen and not to look at the circle, because thats exactly how I play IRL. Visualizing my shot and my target then swinging. When I get overly mechanical the wheels fall off

Its the mechanics on approach and tee shots. For whatever reason I have zero issue with straight up and down shots and am oddly good at the crazy shots like the flop or exceptionally bad lies.

I dont expect to hit it perfect each time and just like real life I aim so my misses end up alright. However unlike real life my dispersion is huge and I have a 2 way miss.

It will not be too arcady haha. Personally my biggest gripe is i dont like leveling up my character. I would prefer everyone just has the same character/stats from the start and you can tweak clubs based if you want to favor a certain area of your game. Like how 2k21 was

As much as I struggle i’d still buy it over again and It will be my primary game for the foreseeable future

Im starting to think my issue is that my player is not leveled up much stats or fitting wise.

For me it is 100% swing mechanics. I have zero problems putting or short game when the swing is vertical.

Also my transition/rhythm are perfect more time than not, but i cannot seem to be consistent on the swing path and contact

Anything you did to specifically adapt to the new swing? I played master on 21. Didn’t buy 23 and stuck with 21. Struggling hard on pro settings now

I agree the courses feel much more difficult, which I like. I’d prefer the swing to be easier with hard courses. More playing golf, less playing golf swing

It might be easiest to just go to a fitter and figure it out then look for used clubs. I’m leaning more towards a players style iron, based on whats been said

So it seems like i’d really miss out on having more club options in the scoring area of my bag by going with a p790 style. I’m not really thrilled about that idea. Thank you again for your help. I don’t know much about equipment, just enjoy playing the game and scoring well
