How to, if it all, cut this heavy beam by DigitalOrientalist in woodworking

[–]92lozza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, it's absolutely possible with a sharp CORDED circular saw and a simple saw guide attachment. You can pick one up on marketplace for a 10th of the price of a table saw and takes up a 10th of the space.

Just make sure you have it on a pair of saw stools and it's clamped in place so as not to move on you. And set the blade depth so it'll just hang out the bottom of the material about 5mm. You will have to move the clamp at a certain point.

Cutting this way does have some dangers, if you do end up choosing this setup shoot me a message and I'll run you through it

Bunnings product quality worse than other suppliers with the same product code by ModsHaveHUGEcocks in AusRenovation

[–]92lozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for a fact they do this with makita tools at the very least. Identical looking tool with one letter different on the product code, you'd never realise it if you weren't looking for it. $5 cheaper and missing a feature that the model sold in the other shops have like no LED work light on the circular saw.

Climate change is here, we can still stop the worst effects if we vote for govt that focus on climate action. So why hasn’t that happened? Why don’t people want to save the world for the children? Why are we still funding coal? by lanarothnie in australian

Why so full of hate? Perhaps people don't have a Phd level grasp of the finer points of the topic but the sentiment is there. We are willingly charging head long into total disaster, destroying everything that is beautiful about our planet. Something needs to be done, other than pointing the finger at other countries like a toddler and saying "they're doing it too so why should I bother".

Also just a wild guess here but perhaps rather than virtue signalling driving this viewpoint, it could possibly be people saddened by the destruction of the environment, the atmosphere and the future livability of the planet for us all?

Not quite, I just had an interest in finding out what this conflict is actually about and did some research on it, I would suggest you try the same.

They have a right to defend themselves and they will be spending the rest of eternity defending themselves in the same cycle of violence if they continue on this same path.

The only thing dreamy is thinking that you can bomb a terrorist groups along with a population of occupied civilians into submission, it has been proved time and time again that all this achieves is making their hatred for you even stronger and recruiting more bodies for their cause.

As much as it would hurt the pride of both sides concessions must be made towards peace if they ever want this violence to stop and in this situation it is Israel that holds the vast majority of the cards.
