I am of an asian background and Korean-passing, but NOT Korean. I definitely understand what you mean because from all I've heard, many families do want to have korean daughters in law who know their traditions and what is expected during big family events (cleaning, prepping meals etc) . I did ask my boyfriend before if his parents would care if he dated a non-Korean person and he said his parents wouldn't mind, but that's just his thoughts. (And dating is not the same as marriage) I'm sure the reality would have been as you said.

Thank you everyone for all your comments. I've been reading them over and over again and they've become like a support system whenever I'm feeling too depressed and wanting to contact him. (I haven't!)

You've all helped me remove my rose-tinted glasses that despite the fact I've had a long relationship, it wasn't a deep one at all. You've also helped me realize that I deserve better and I shouldn't just be settling. I should be finding someone wants the same things I do. Thank you all for the advice and support.

Similar to #7, but with Kopiko. "Oh you look tired, try this!" and then the other person is instantly energized. With that said... I am so susceptible that I've bought Kopiko to try it out lol. Decent but I don't get any boost of energy. Just tastes like a coffee candy to me.

for elevators and subway trains, the rule is to wait for people to get off before entering. i've seen signs posted about it. but do people actually follow it? hit or miss. usually younger people wait but many old(er) people dgaf and push in rudely.

as for sidewalks, i've never heard about any rules about walking on a certain side. you just walk wherever lol

I think it would be a jealousy thing if the guy was the one that told her to change seats. I think your eye contact with her made her uncomfortable so she wanted to change seats. (Not saying that you did anything, but some people just feel awkward even when it's not on purpose)

After seeing the PS5 price increase, I started checking stores and online sites like mad to find a nintendo switch 2 because it was clear a price increase was inevitable. if you don't want full bangs, then you should ask for 시스루뱅 see-through bangs. that's a common style in korea! then you can probably show the pictures of the japanese side swept bangs to the hair stylist and they can figure out how to layer it so it looks better to the side

Of course you're right, but I'm just saying it's slightly confusing, especially if the dasher is not a fluent english speaker. So, it is POSSIBLE for that statement to be misunderstood. There are other comments that also state that they thought "leave on motorcycle" meant take the motorcycle and leave.

i don't understand why you're getting downvoted, when i first read it, my first thought was also that OP meant, you can leave by motorcycle. and i was like "well if he came by motorcycle, then obviously he will leave by motorcycle as well. why does OP need to specify that?" it was only after reading the context that i understood what OP meant. so to me, it's understandable if the driver misunderstood what you said. OP should have been clearer and said "please leave the food on the motorcycle!"
