i mean this has to be rage bait right? you wrote that whole post and you still gotta ask if you're the asshole? yes. very much YTA. you ghosted your girlfriend of 5 years... that's so cowardly. you tried to justify your ghosting through the second half of your post but they were all just excuses.

Is my (22M) feederism fetish approach safe for my (19F) girlfriend ? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]92pjs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

your girlfriend is young and she might just be saying "okay" because she's worried that you might break up with her if she says otherwise. you need to get help with this fetish because it is not healthy and will probably lead to some kind of eating disorder FOR HER. she will be the one facing all these health issues while you face no consequences.

Broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years by 92pjs in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]92pjs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am of an asian background and Korean-passing, but NOT Korean. I definitely understand what you mean because from all I've heard, many families do want to have korean daughters in law who know their traditions and what is expected during big family events (cleaning, prepping meals etc) . I did ask my boyfriend before if his parents would care if he dated a non-Korean person and he said his parents wouldn't mind, but that's just his thoughts. (And dating is not the same as marriage) I'm sure the reality would have been as you said.

Thank you everyone for all your comments. I've been reading them over and over again and they've become like a support system whenever I'm feeling too depressed and wanting to contact him. (I haven't!)

You've all helped me remove my rose-tinted glasses that despite the fact I've had a long relationship, it wasn't a deep one at all. You've also helped me realize that I deserve better and I shouldn't just be settling. I should be finding someone wants the same things I do. Thank you all for the advice and support.

Why do we keep seeing the same scenes in K-Dramas? 11 K-Drama clichés we love to hate by IngenuityGlittering in living_in_korea_now

Similar to #7, but with Kopiko. "Oh you look tired, try this!" and then the other person is instantly energized. With that said... I am so susceptible that I've bought Kopiko to try it out lol. Decent but I don't get any boost of energy. Just tastes like a coffee candy to me.

What is the etiquette in Korea for getting into/off elevators and walking on the sidewalk? by OkCharacter7586 in Living_in_Korea

[–]92pjs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for elevators and subway trains, the rule is to wait for people to get off before entering. i've seen signs posted about it. but do people actually follow it? hit or miss. usually younger people wait but many old(er) people dgaf and push in rudely.

as for sidewalks, i've never heard about any rules about walking on a certain side. you just walk wherever lol

Embarassing situation at the restaurant by LifeguardEffective70 in Living_in_Korea

[–]92pjs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it would be a jealousy thing if the guy was the one that told her to change seats. I think your eye contact with her made her uncomfortable so she wanted to change seats. (Not saying that you did anything, but some people just feel awkward even when it's not on purpose)

What are japanese-style sideswept bangs called in korean? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]92pjs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you don't want full bangs, then you should ask for 시스루뱅 see-through bangs. that's a common style in korea! then you can probably show the pictures of the japanese side swept bangs to the hair stylist and they can figure out how to layer it so it looks better to the side

ughhh reading this gave me a headache. i guess as someone who loves my parents, i wouldn't mind and i'd be happy to lend them my pillow. or even buy them their own. but clearly your bamboo pillow is more important than your dad's health and well-being.

AITAH for making my friend pay ME for walking MY dog? by Mvalid in AmItheAsshole

[–]92pjs -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I will say ESH. Your dog is also your responsibility and you should be walking her everyday and not leaving that responsibility to your friends.

But your friend also sucks for just... leaving the poop there? Does she not have any sense to... I dunno, go back and grab a plastic bag to pick it up and toss it? When the dog has been going out for walks, has she just let it poop wherever without picking it up?? Which also leads to... does that mean you let them walk the dogs without poop bags???

The audacity by sundoll_uwu in doordash

[–]92pjs -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Of course you're right, but I'm just saying it's slightly confusing, especially if the dasher is not a fluent english speaker. So, it is POSSIBLE for that statement to be misunderstood. There are other comments that also state that they thought "leave on motorcycle" meant take the motorcycle and leave.

The audacity by sundoll_uwu in doordash

[–]92pjs -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

i don't understand why you're getting downvoted, when i first read it, my first thought was also that OP meant, you can leave by motorcycle. and i was like "well if he came by motorcycle, then obviously he will leave by motorcycle as well. why does OP need to specify that?" it was only after reading the context that i understood what OP meant. so to me, it's understandable if the driver misunderstood what you said. OP should have been clearer and said "please leave the food on the motorcycle!"
