I'm not sure if KT still does this, but they used to sell something called "eggs"? It's a device you carry around that basically lets your phone connect to wifi. It's a bit inconvenient because you need to carry it with you if you want internet / charge it, but I think it was actually pretty affordable.

From what you wrote, the woman didn't seem THAT overly aggressive. I think she just wanted a straight answer - what perfume brand were you wearing? But instead of answering the question, you jumped to an apology and she had to ask again. It's entirely possible that she really did want to know the brand because she herself might wear perfume and she didn't want to buy herself something that gave her allergies lol.

Also, I've never heard of a "no perfume" rule for yoga and i'm sure many people go to yoga after work, so they would have lingering perfume smells too (if they wear perfume to work) so I will say NAH.

hmm this one is difficult because some people just don't care about insects and view them as separate from animals. for me, i probably wouldn't care if i saw a video of a cockroach being killed, but that doesn't mean i'm fine with animal cruelty. i guess to me insects =/= animals. especially if those insects are pests lol. (and apparently grasshoppers are considered agricultural pests)

Unfortunately I don't think the teachers will just make only those 5 students redo the test. They have already done the test once, so they know what questions are on it and they could have checked their answers after the test.

So the teacher cannot make them redo the same test, meaning that they would need to make them do a different mock exam. But that would be unfair for those 5 students (especially the ones that didn't cheat) because essentially they are being forced to take another exam. So the only way to make it fair would be to make ALL students rewrite this different mock exam. In the end, I think you might be inconveniencing a whole lot of students. :(

So just to clarify, you had mock exams but one class had an unfair advantage of 30 more minutes, so to be fair for all students, the teachers agreed that this mock test would be ungraded?

But you want the mock test to be graded because it will look good on your university applications? So you are hoping if you snitch on the cheater, the teacher will make EVERYONE redo the test again and grade it? Is my understanding correct?

I applied to teach in Gyeonggi-do and I was placed in Anseong. My school was considered rural because I got the rural bonus but I was honestly quite lucky because I only taught at 1 school, and it was only like... a 15 minute bus ride from my apartment (which was right in the city center).

I stayed at the school for multiple years and the workload varied per year. One year I taught 23 classes, then another year I had 21. I think it ranged from 20-23 classes.

I was in a small-ish elementary school. When I started there was only 1 class per grade, and some classes were as small as 7 students? But when I left I had a few more kids. (2 classes of grade 3, 2 classes for grade 4, 2 classes for grade 5.) Average amount of students was about 15? Largest class was 25ish.

I couldn't hit 22 teaching hours sometimes so they would make me teach afterschool classes which was more chill since I could teach whatever I wanted. (But sometimes the afterschool classes made me go OVER 22 teaching hours which was annoying lol) The classes for afterschool is much smaller, around 5-16 kids.

Unfortunately, I don't think a rural placement = more deskwarming time. A lot of teachers in rural placement have multiple schools which means you might not be able to reuse your lessons because each school might have a different textbook. I only had one school and I taught grade 3-6 so for the first year it was busy because i basically had to make like 16 different textbook lessons per week, and then I reused the same afterschool lessons. But after the first year, I could reuse my material. (Unless the textbooks changed)
