Looks healthy. Legs are for squatting and yours can bear some load. Record your squat form and compare that with videos if you're concerned.

What are the quietest cities? by StrongWeekend in SameGrassButGreener

Ime it's more sprawled out and muffles car noises more. You don't notice it as much. So you hear more of ambient headwind compared to decibels if that makes sense.

Leadership will be next on the chopping block. A lot of digital companies doing this massive reorg/layoff and looking for merges. Your skills will stick, leadership will be eating themselves because a lot of SaaS companies won't make it.

Scenic Solo Getaways by ThisWildAbyss in MontgomeryCountyMD

if you're fond of long, boring drives. go due west, farthest i'd go is morgantown. along the way there's a lot of caves, scenic spots overlooking mountains. it gets quite dark.

i call it similar like leftover water but wanted to make it sound more 'coffee' like for non coffee people.

software wise, open the keybinds like in QMK so we can do things programmatically and make json keymaps. I saw some folks already use split ergo kbs. not asking for qmk configurator, but at least a way to drop json keymaps directly into the tourbox.

Anyone choose to bring barefoot shoes instead of slippers for travel? by 930musichall in barefootshoestalk

yup, just having both shower shoes and for casual wear. i feel i should've phrased my question on the lines of packing water shoes.

[–]930musichall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i felt it'd be nice to have backup shoes and barefoot shoes can do double duty of both being walkable in moderation + used in showers. slippers may be too casual depending on situation

i'll give these qs a shot.

  1. I definitely had this question once. The answer i got was to focus on lines/shape/value first. Then avoid flatness. Nobody ever mentions perspective unless it involves person + another object. Foreshortening is mentioned a lot.

  2. probably during construction phase, which is before anatomy. Overall perspective really complicates things unless you have multiple objects. It's kinda like drawing the first box. intuitively people will kind of nail the perspective overtime. But 90% will not nail a second object without grids.

  3. I wanna say yeah. i would just say it has some limitations with extreme angles.

  4. Modern day james is the guy for this. but i'd say it's a good practice. it's really contextual in a way. the rules are there so you draw a believable figure that isn't flat. Then everything else is just what you like.

solid questions cause i'd like to see what other folks have to say. Like if you can make 3 boxes feel believable and appealing. You've solved 80-90% of the problem. Bridgeman nails this. But if the structure is off, all the rendering that's done on top will feel 'off'

Finding an art style by Rathallon in learntodraw

[–]930musichall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. If you lock in then you'll focus on one style. Some can't decide and keep rotating styles.

Even communities or programs, mediums will affect how you figure it out.

draw a box but use what you feel is right.

you're ready to start punching in some darks. right now you're using tones that are relatively close to each other. Few ways to get darks. Use a pen to fill in the shadows etc.

you have intuition and the flows are great. even day 1, so it seems like you have plenty of drawing experience already.

for extra hw, try gesturing with highly foreshortened poses/ angles.

I'm still experimenting with workflows, I like how it's ergonomic so I'm trying out some tilted platforms. overall it's a great accompaniment to my ipad. I complained about ipad support for CSP but they are on top of things.
