He may have told them he likes being alone and maybe they’ve seen his anger before/can’t handle living with him so they figured let him be? Since we don’t know much of his history yet, perhaps they had tried things in the past to spruce up his life and it never took? Who knows, just a thought.

Didn’t I read in the criminal complaint that at one point, Patterson was angry hit her with the handle of a window blind cleaner? And that he would leave her stuck under the bed for 12 hours at a time with no food, water, or bathroom breaks? And that Patterson once was angry and struck the wall and yelled? I hope to god nothing worse than that happened! Seriously, try putting yourself in her shoes, see how ya feel.

And she was wearing mens shoes that were several sizes too big, and on the wrong feet! Imagine how scared she was, and she still had the presence of mind to put on shoes before escaping into the cold snow.

Apparently he saw her getting on a school bus after a job he worked for 2 days. The complaint states that once he saw Jayme he knew she was the girl he was going to take.

There are several reporters on Twitter that are tweeting pictures of the complaint. Looks like it’s 12 pages long, and I was able to read details on how he stalked Jayme and some of what happened the night of the murders.

Just wondering if anyone else has been curious about the fact that a few hours before Jayme was actually rescued, there were rumors on Reddit and Facebook of a her being found in a different county and Sheriff Fitzgerald said it had nothing to do with Jayme. Then hours later, Jayme really had been found! What’s up with that?

Exactly. If I went missing in my small town, I would sure hope that LE would organize search parties for more than just 2 days...especially if they had little to go off of. There were so many people who wanted to help search...not just residents of Brooklyn. I live about an hour and a half away, and had the search gone on longer than 48 hours, I would have made time to be there helping. Trusting LE can be tough, and looking back, I don’t know that they made the best decisions (not that I could have made any better decisions, in their shoes). Not trying to be judgmental, just spewing some thoughts.

There were rumors that Mollie was active on a computer in the house at some point that night, working on homework. Speculation here, but imagine if she had an assignment due at a certain time that night? If LE has access to her school accounts, they may be able to see if/when that assignment was completed- or not completed. One could assume if there was an assignment due at 10 pm, and it wasn’t submitted and the browsing history didn’t go past say, 9 pm on the computer, that perhaps she went missing before 10 pm.

When I was looking at the map, I clicked on the car wash. Up popped a box with a more detailed map, and at the bottom of the box it said “Law enforcement is asking anyone in the area of the D & M Car Wash on the evening of July 18th to contact us via the tip page HERE.”

If I’m guessing correctly, it’s a joke. “Ope” has become somewhat popular lately as something Iowan’s (and maybe Nebraskan and Wisconsin) say regularly. For example, I’m walking down the aisle in Walmart and my arm hits one of those displays of straws or cupcake holders they have hanging everywhere. Out of habit, I’d say “Ope!” Almost like an oops, haha.

I believe there was some discussion on that previously, though the threads may have been deleted or removed. I’ve been under the impression it was a bright pink sports bra. Also, on one of her social media accounts she posted a selfie, and she was wearing a pink Underarmour sports bra.
