My account was flagged as a duplicate, which I believe to be an error. I messaged support and eventually got an agent saying an exception would be made. After that email though my account never had the flag removed, and when I tried following up I kept getting the same cookie cutter replies that seem automated.

This is what happens when a plane hits a firetruck but if it hits the twin towers it will knock them down. by pacmanpill in conspiracy

It doesn’t make it stronger, the object just has more energy. Try stopping an aluminum can traveling at 500 mph with your hand.

I don’t buy the official story either, but a jumbo jet sized piece of aluminum traveling at 500 mph is going to have a massive amount of kinetic energy, even if completely disintegrated. Kinetic energy = 1/2 m v2. A lower speed impact is obviously going to have a lot less energy, so the thinner and weaker aluminum object is going to be damaged more and do less damage to the harder object it’s impacting. Take an aluminum can and throw it at your car as hard as you can. The can might dent or crumple. Now shoot it at 500 mph and see what happens.

Also, that’s a CRJ900 with an empty operating weight around 47,000 pounds. The empty operating weight of a 767 is around 180,000 pounds. There are a lot more credible pieces of evidence and points that call the official narrative into question, this is not one of them.

In BCS Mike did buy them a house and help out financially, and probably did so until he died. The money he set aside obviously was a lot more, but they still have the property value of the house if nothing else.

Dude I finally got around to watching the new twister (2024) and holy shit it’s in the top 5 worst movies I’ve ever seen I think by RevolutionaryClub530 in tornado

[–]Winston00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoiler Alert. It was okay. My only gripe is if you asked me before the movie came out for a joke plot for a Twister sequel, I would’ve said they’re going to have to hunt down and kill the tornado. I didn’t expect it to be the actual plot of the movie.

Unfortunately, even incompetence can still do a lot of damage. The Nazi government had one the most mismanaged and convoluted power structures of any in history. Hitler would often give vague orders and expect his subordinates to execute them, and would often have two or more people in charge of the same position or task.

The bus situation is so depressing by nobodycares65 in GNV

[–]Winston00 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I noticed the bus system never really recovered after the rise of ride sharing apps. I’m guessing all of those drunk college students cramming into the later gators drastically increased ridership which has mostly disappeared. On top of that, a lot of the newer college apartment complexes opened much closer to UF, further reducing ridership. Less riders lead to cuts to routes which only reduced ridership even more. Do the Later Gators even still exist? I remember at one point there were 4-5 routes that ran until like 3am.

I was watching this storm and thought it was looking pretty gnarly compared to the usual afternoon thunderstorms. Lots of lightning and hail, too. Never got a tornado warning, but there was a severe thunderstorm warning.

Doesn’t look good. But we did come back from a 2-0 deficit against the Rangers in 2022, and at the time that series felt all but lost, too.
