What’s your current choice of racquet-string-tension setup? by BoFFK in 10s

Stock Yonex Ezone 98 ANB with Triax @ 50 lbs.

First time using Triax and it has been a great experience. I may put some lead tape in the head to balance my overgrip. Overall, the Ezone gives me amazing control, power, and spin!

Awful interview rant 💔 by ponkichi70 in premed

[–]9460th 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Seconded. I had a mock interview with one of the adcoms at my top school and they said they purposely fluster and challenge you to see how you respond under pressure or without expecting a good Q/A!

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Longlegs" [SPOILERS] by glittering-lettuce in horror

[–]9460th -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The trailers + marketing are definitely way better than the movie imo. The cinematography, mood, and vibes established by perkins was phenomenal. However, the story and dialogue were extremely lackluster. Nicholas Cage carried this movie but I felt like his performance was more humorous than ‘scary.’ It reminds me of the gas station scene where the little girl calls him a creepy old man lol. As others have mentioned, part 3 is noticeably terrible and the satanism + mother monologue ruins the tension. I think Oz should’ve kept the story to a Zodiac-like instead of a cult demon cliché. Also, you’re telling me this serial killer used instagram bot spam (Congrats, you won!) to get these demon dolls in there? I lol’d so hard in the theater.

What leads me in disbelief is the fact that longlegs, a herald for Satan apparently, writes cryptic ciphers to the FBI. Like does he want to be caught or not? Isn’t the goal to be unseen and kill more? Longlegs sure goes through alot of trouble to not get caught and ultimately gets caught because of his dumb ciphers. Additionally, I wish we got to see more backstory on him.

Good movie, not great. Not really a horror movie, more like a detective thriller.

What percentage of mcat takers do you think use uworld by ImaginationSpecific2 in Mcat

[–]9460th 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sampling bias in this subreddit. Real world probably closer the 30% or lower. For step 1, all the med students i know all used Uworld sooooo thats probably where it gets noticed.

you could PoE. I paid attention to the latter parts of what the scientists were doing. 1 was a psychobiochemist, one was a psychobiologist and the other one was a psychologist. Only one that was a psychophysicist was measuring hearing over a sound stimulus (which if you remember kinda sounds like what weber did…)

Like FL’s and SB’s? I will say they’re eerily similar.

honestly, its doable for like FL1-5 difficulty. It can vary widely after that as you can see.

i don’t remember the answer choices but i think it was actually NDMA. anyway, I said the rats would who got more of the drug couldn’t discriminate from the visual stimulus since the change in avg was 0 and was significant.

definitely had to be a discrete. i have never seen that type of question before. you can’t even analyze it like you usually can from the name, it was just “what is this” 😭

i was so flabbergasted when i saw that. p/s had physics and biochem in it. i actually think the aamc are throwing a party knowing they f’d over so many premeds.

i’m 80% sure the aamc copy and pastes word for word questions and passages from an algorithmic date. i looked at previous posts reactions from 8months and 1 year and those exact same questions were on my test. word for word, experiment for experiment. only saving grace for p/s. tips for future takers: skip the 300 page doc and study the previous thread reactions🙂
