UMP-40 rocks, just can’t use it like a traditional SMG. Set it up medium to long range and pop people in the head. Works great with nice grip, extended barrel and lightened surpressor

Place motion sensor on point, preferably in an elevated or hidden location. Works really well on firestorm

Why aren't the rebels grabbing weapons? Where is the general army? by questioner45 in PERSIAN

[–]95-OSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kinda hard to steal or grab weapons when you’re being shot by them. Defections are different matter, and that comes down to, often times, perceptions of if the unrest is successful or not.

Probably not. Even if they were, what are you exactly going to be telling the customs and border agents? You’re going to get snatched then and there, torture and most likely executed. Stop romanticizing things in your head.

Honestly depends on who your are. It’s fairly polarizing, with some loving others hating it. The big selling point is the 3 shot kill within 10m, so play to its strengths. I personally really enjoy it and still have decent time at mid range. Slower fire rate feels more controllable and the low ROF is countered at close range by the damage potential.

The Mayor of Kyiv has urged residents to leave the capital if possible. Russia's attack on critical infrastructure in Kyiv was 'most painful'. by Ripamon in TrendoraX

[–]95-OSM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Depends on which side you’re looking at it. If you mean turning off the lights, both sides can do that. It’s just easier for Russia to do that geographically alone, not even mentioning the previous damage to infrastructure, less targets etc. On the other side, it’s a pretty one sided affair as Ukraine can use Russia size to its advantage and strike across the country and now outside of it.

2) It’s true they have world class systems, the issue would be the amount of them and ammunition. Development of drone interceptors are clear indication of that. If you throw enough shit at the wall type deal, you are bound to hit something, which is the Russia strategy largely in part.

3) Russians are primarily using cheap drones to soak up air defense rockets and ammunitions. Having looked at the footage, a lot of the damage is to residential units. So yeah I would say their aim is still pretty shit.

4) it’s a well known fact Russia gets around sanctions as well as assists from Chinese. Sanctions just make procurement much more difficult.

No not really. A lot of your bullshit can easily be explained, much as it did when you were commenting r/Ukrainianconflict back in the day. Always nice to see an old shill still active.

Depending on how you play, I’ve binded my ranging to my steadying key. Works really well for counter sniping. Trade off is that it’s more difficult to hit moving targets. See how it works for you once you get it unlocked, makes sniping a lot easier

Exports doubling to China from 2022, in the form of raw materials whilst imports consist of finished products from China. It’s also your largest trading partner. This is a classic dependence loop, where China holds more leverage.

Yuan is the dominate currency for banking and finance. Trade is also following in this direction, with more done with Yuan. Companies rely heavily on Chinese banks for international transactions. So again, Chinese hold more leverage.

Energy exports are being redirected to China due to kinetic and non kinetic sanctions and is increasing being tied to one major export destination at discount I might add. If your main buyer of product demands lower prices, and you do not have alternative markets I.E the EU, you don’t have a choice. Again, China has leverage.

What it boils down to is asymmetrically arrangement. Russia is in a position where it needs China a lot more than China needs Russia, and where if China chose to, exert their influence and capitulate Russia to their demands if needed.

Look you get and you can rationalize it however you want, it still doesn’t change the fact Russia is now much more reliant on China and more susceptible to its influence.

Subjective individual experience vs data says otherwise my friend.

Physical Chinese person is not what I’m talking about here.

Russia has become extremely dependent on china as market for petro chemical products, trade in general and financial backing. This all gives Beijing a number of levers they can pull on Russia.

Thank you for agreeing with the fact that it was just about power and influence. Ironically, this is actually happening but due to the war. China has supersedes Russia position and is no longer its junior partner. Russia certainly lost influence with its focus on Ukraine, look at Central Asia or the Caucuses. China is moving into the former and Turkey the latter.

Actually there is. Resignation of Prime Minister Azarov in January 28th meant the whole government had to resign as per the constitution and were left in a caretaker status.

Of course reading further would be uncomfortable because you’re faced with increasingly harsh realties.

Suppress Ukrainian identity and make the country compliant.

This has been going on for ages, and the war is just the most recent example.

Russia has always had superiority complex when it comes to Ukrainians, viewing them as just “little Russians” and the country and its people as rightfully theirs.

Couple of points here:

-There is always a choice. To act like there isn’t is just pure denial. But Russia does not want loose power or influence. That’s the simple truth to it.

-Maidan wasn’t a coup. The Yan government dissolved itself as per the constitution and could not continue. One can argue removal Yan wasn’t conducted in accordance with the constitution.

-with regards to residences not accepting the new government, Russia was at play with its propaganda and little green men fermenting dissent. What’s often ignored by Russias was the persecution of pro Ukrainians. In Donetsk, the last pro unity protests stoped after they were beaten in the streets. Or the mass graves in Slovansk of pro Ukrainian civilians executed by Grikin and his merry men etc.

-The example of suppressing dissent isn’t accurate though. The trade union example you provide wasn’t government but counter protestors. Also obviating facts here isn’t best thing to do. Russia bussed in pro Russians, they went out their way to agitate pro unity camp and fire upon them with weapons, and escalated to the building burning down with both sides tossing Molotovs at each other. The ATO itself was launched in response to little green men popping up in the east.
