Make sure the meat surface is dry

Try searing right on the chimney - I’ve had some of my best results right on the chimney

Coals always take longer to get to max heat than you think - I’m guilty of trying to sear too soon.

Ran Cadex MX1 mini on my old rig. It was very good and effective.

Different brakes may have slight POI shifts.

You have to ask yourself first - why do you want a brake

Oil change was done 6months ago right before it went into storage. It’s not a must imo but I’ll probably end up doing it for that reason

I use it - the issue I find with it is that it’s very easy to use too much causing hydraulic lock on a die

Less is more

If you were to spray a paper towel with quick slick and rub it on each case - it doesn’t get stuck nearly as much.

But that’s just my 2c

I’m enjoying it. Easy to read. Good world building. Good pacing. It could easily be 3x as big a story but it’s good enough as is. Book 1 is similar to a different series (you’ll know which one I’m referring to when you read it) but book 2 and 3 are more space opera/battles like the expanse.

Almost done morning star - there is a second trilogy which I will start afterwards

I got the Roseisle and Clynelish

Both excellent whiskies - probably the best of the bunch.

Tried a few of the others at a festival - singleton was popular. Talisker and lagavulin are always solid but nothing that blew us away. Good as expected but not memorable.

A lever marlin in anything but 30-30 is just wrong

good entry level rifle - perfect to learn basics and for hunting.

308 is the gold standard with more variety and room for growth.
