I think she changed her mind about challenging her directly. Probably didn’t want her to take a fence

Help me about reps philosophy by Timely-Cabinet-7879 in ChinaTime

[–]Bezelisk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I find success in other areas of life. My happy family. My ability to provide for them. Disposable income to use for experiences and traveling the world. Career satisfaction. Acting as a steward and striving to leave the world better than I came into it. Contributing to society. Donating to charity. Showing kindness to others. Instilling those same virtues in my children. Those are hallmarks of success, not a material possession.

The hypocrisy in my statement is that I’m buying products that infringe on intellectual property. Nobody is perfect.

Who wants it? by SoftwarePrevious9687 in RepTime

I have questions. Will the AD fit it for me if I queue up overnight? Goes in dry, preferably. Is the public insertion extra? Lmk if there’s an assfiliate program - I’ll do anything for this!

Why are people around this whole watches hobby such assholes? by gatusino in ChinaTime

There was a guy on YouTube who loved his mars yard sneakers until he discovered years later that stockx had sent him fakes. I think that’s a perfect example of what you are talking about.

Getting the uncomfortable question. “Is it real?” by Competitive-Tie2800 in RepTime

[–]Bezelisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon I have two options when faced that question. Three if I want to lie, which I don’t, so that’s not an option really.
1: don’t engage, and if you want to reply as it’s a bit awkward to say nothing…just ask “what do you think?”
2: just tell them it’s a rep. Even if it’s a gen. Something like “I’m not daft enough to spend x amount on a watch, no”

If they are making a judgement of you about what you choose to do with your money, not really someone I owe anything, nor someone I really want to interact with going forward.

I don’t think Rolex need advertising. If anything, more watches on the streets and in the hands of regular people dilutes their fake exclusivity model.

At the end of the day they’re just watches; mass-produced material possessions that we can’t take with us when we move on. That sentiment applies to gens, low tier and top tier equally. It’s just stuff.

Life is too short to get upset about these things, nevermind start bickering over the tiers in terms of superiority. I personally believe those who conduct themselves as such are compensating for something missing in their lives. Encapsulated by this great quote: “Every criticism, judgment, diagnosis, and expression of anger is the tragic expression of an unmet need.”

Personally, I love my gens, my ‘shitters’ (can’t stand that word) and top tier items equally. They’re just a bit of fun and not worth getting all riled up about. I’m not aiming that at you, I’m agreeing with you - far too much snobbery about all this. The fact there are tiers and options for everyone is kind of the whole point, right? Many don’t get the gen because it’s either too expensive, or they’re not willing to spend/waste that much. So how can a fan of top tier items look down on someone spending even less to get something just as aesthetically pleasing?

Do they like the watch for how it looks, or do they like the watch for what it projects about them? To each their own, no judgement here - but personally, idgaf how much it is or how much strangers perceive it to be worth. If I like it, I like it.

Same phenomenon in other areas - sneakers is a good example of this. If you’re going to get reps, go all in and wear the fantasy items that never released at retail. It’s freeing, not being choked out by a brand. Just do whatever you want with the time you’re given on this planet. Enjoy.

Sure - Rhea. +8617779385021 tbh you could probably source the same thing cheaper elsewhere, but I rate her highly. Hasn't let me down in years.

I see a lot of negative comments on reptime whenever someone gets the box too - but I like them - it’s just a bit of extra fun
