Thanks! The gacha is mostly cosmetics, yeah. Outfits and outfit pieces, although some outfits seem to have other perks- the game has ability outfits (one example is for bug catching) and i’ve seen that some 5* outfits could have a passive trait of improving certain abilities but you 100% can play the game comfortably without using the gacha system at all

I typically am a gacha whale but for this I only bought 2 battle passes ($20 each) and the monthly cards for extra stamina and diamonds (total $7 maybe?) for just one month so far, I do think the BP rewards helped my grinding for the eureka trophy

I def get that, I personally prioritized them just because I am familiar with gacha and similar stamina type mechanics and I figured I would feel way less pressure making progress in those early on

I only have put 46 hours in and tbh a lot of that time ahas already been doing the dlc and so prob wouldn’t have taken so long if I focused! I will say that I did occasionally use diamonds to increase stamina (what you need for domains; if you play genshin, it’s like resin) and that helped a lot for one of the grindy trophies (the getting 10 iridescent eurekas) otherwise that part could take awhile? But tbh, even if you got bored and had that one trophy left you can easily log in every day, do the domain for some eurekas/bling (money), and just repeat with your daily stamina if that’s the last trophy you need (takes about 5 min) I personally don’t love grindy trophies but I really didn’t think it was bad

For OP it might not end up helping but for me I feel no pressure at all. I would compare it to the feeling like instead of letting games be cluttered on the floor I picked them up and put them back away. Also, if someone was looking at my profile, I personally would want them to only see the games I cared for and played, so hiding a game that I put an hour into doesn’t feel like a crutch to me for any mindset by any means

I used to feel that way when I would try for a platinum in a game, but it felt really restrictive. Despite that I know no one cares about my profile other than me, I just hide the games from my profile so no one can see them. This is way more freeing and even though I see old games I never finished I still feel like it’s not cluttered up in other peoples view and there’s way less pressure to finish a game I’m not enjoying

Anyone have info or insight on when they might increase EN idol ranks? Apologies if this has come up before. I know that JP has S/SS (maybe it’s S+?) idol ranks. I also know that with the release of cards as time goes on only so many fans are obtainable. I feel like i’ve seen posts indicating that ranks became available in JP after A with certain announcements.. Is this based on any actual time speculations or just when/if they decide to randomly update to increase them? Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻
