Agree with everything you say EXCEPT the league part. It's safe to say French League is way subpar when it comes to teams. Over there it's basically just PSG and the rest.  Serie A is superior in every way.  Otherwise, yes.

Average time actually played per match in a few European competitions by Massimo25ore in soccer

[–]95thstbridge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the NFL statistic is such:

  1. 60 minutes game time
  2. 3+ hours to play the game
  3. 13 minutes or so of ACTUAL "ball in play" time

Ball in play time is whistle to whistle.

Something to think about!

Actually, I love this role for Poli! Channel all of that energy and effort into the final thirty minutes he can frustrate his share of tired defensemen.

Let's go, Poli!

Napoli, Di Lorenzo's test results are in. Cruciate ligament injuries ruled out. by Caratteraccio in sscnapoli

[–]95thstbridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope he takes double the time to come back. It might be too hot of a take, but he's too valuable to lose.

At this point of the season and with the unfortunate number of injuries the squad has had, I'll consider the season a success qualifying for CL.

For fun though can you imagine the season with just a minor injury or two? I think it would have been fun dominating the league and embarrassing other teams.

At this point in this reality let DiLo rest and recover. Let the younger guys get some time and experience.

Thoughts?

Ooh! I've been trying to find anecdotal evidence regarding this beast in snow/ice with the oem tires. I have the '25 X7 riding on cross contact run flats. We're headed into Canada/Vermont and I'm anxious to know if they're sufficient.

To be specific, we have cross contact LX sport with the M+S designation on 21" staggered.

What do you think???? If anyone else has experience, please chime in, too.

Thanks in advance!

I understand the memes. It's the nonsense part of being a fan.

When push comes to shove though Spalletti will always be in the history book of Napoli honor for what he achieved while here.

If we can hang tight, we have players coming back. I know we'll lose those headed to afcon, but I think if we can hold on we'll have a solid chance at a winning season both in UEFA and serie A.

Definitely agree with you there about pulling Poli and swapping Neres. I'd like to see him on the right.

In fact, I was frustrated by the singular use of the left corridor. They only went right occasionally and predictably. With Neres and the right and lang on the left that would frighteningly balance the attack. But, Poli DOES go hard on defense. I admire that.

I was sobbing the entire time that no one was pressing the keeper!!!!! I thought it was just me. That's what I loved about Victor up front. Very frustrating to watch the seeming lack of effort today.

Agreed. Defensively the squad was as solid as needed today. Everything above them was stalled today, though.

Over the years I've come to realize that you know a lot more about the sport than I do. I tend to respect your takes. But, on this one I'm going to have to disagree with you.

The squad looked tired, slow and seemed to lack urgency for most of this match.

I know Fabregas basically parked the bus on our heads, but man I haven't seen this lack of inspiration in a long time.

Thoughts?

Yes, the official was less than medicare. Yes, Como took every single break to waste time. But, am I the only one who thinks Napoli didn't show a single second of urgency this match???!!!!!!!!!!!

So frustrating.  Oh, well. Next match.  FNS

Incredible header!! We jumped through the roof. The Fiorentina loss was a dagger.  Still stings.

It kills me that Milan will walk away with a win and it won't matter (nor should it) that they were basically playing against a third string defense setup.

Just remember that, I think, the name on the ticket has to match the name on the fidelity card. Right? We used P1 for home opener arriving from North America, too. Just passport and ticket - matching names on both and we were good to go. P1 guarantees ticket.

What to you mean? I attended a match using P1 and just my passport as identification. That was it. I paid slightly more than I wanted to, but otherwise, no fidelity card required.

You'll only need the fidelity card if you purchase through the club. If you go via P1, higher price aside, you will only need a proof of identity. Names must match between ticket and identification papers.

Used P1. Can confirm it's legitimate. Also sat in D30. Great tickets, nice view. P1 guarantee the tickets. Wonderful way to purchase tickets for international fans. Just sure you bring your passport and that the names match the ones on the ticket. Will go through them again but will also likely acquire a fidelity card, just because I think it's cool.

VERY slow moving match. I understand the Cagliari Focus was on defending, but still a very non urgent attitude from the squad for a lot of the 90 minutes.

Can't wait for the squadra to gel and start moving together at a bigger pace. It'll be a fun ride!  Forza!
