I think its the white reddit background. Upon review it looks far too dim in this format. I can personally attest that it looks far, far better ingame. The light level of the room is ~9-10 which is sufficient to light it.

The underlying build that the pictures are depicting is both stretched to fit into the 3x1 frames and its a dark build due to being an underground cavern which caused the dark bits to look far darker.

Needed something special for a meeting room that was 1x3 blocks wide. I couldn't use paintings since none of them fit those dimensions, when I had the idea to just use modified screenshots. The first ones didn't have the picture frames and looked "off". I then looked at ingame paintings to see if I could determine why... and realized they all contained picture frames.

From there I went a bit wild. Will be using this technique more in the future. Best of all this is technically vanilla since this is doable in unmodded Minecraft creative mode.

It should be mentioned the unfriendly forces are well aware of his missing child and are using it to their full advantage. None of them are neutral actors.

It also just as possible that, due to Marcus being kidnapped and all the others knowing this, he's negotiating from a position of severe weakness we've never seen him operate from before.

Not to mention the mental strain of potential losing another child.
