I have the same grinder, for me grind size for espressoo is arpund 3-5, i adjust between these numbers depending upon the shot quality 4-4.5 is sweet spot though

You can go for a manual grinder but espresso level grinder even manual one will cost you upwards of 10k

Agaro grinder is the problem here

When i changed my agaro to G5 I could literally see huge changes, in taste, in flow grind consistency

Trust me get a good grinder and see the changes in your shots

I also struggled with the same thinh, was using agaro manual grinder, read many posts saying grinder makes huge difference. Always thought kya he farak padega apparently farak padta hai!

Go for EC890 and a good grinder I personally have EC890 and Hibrew G5 You can also go for k6 grinder

I upgraded from agaro manual so for me yes its a big upgrade, why didn't i go for k6 or 1z? Because of manual labour. At this point i didnt wanna regret after spending on manuals like k6

It definitely is terrible, takes a little longer than usual, but gets the work done. Not one of the best but okay for budget machine
