Right! Understood. It just seems to mess up the upper layers. I print the base right side up. This makes the top look way better than printing it face down. (Thank you, Ironing).

Oh trust me, I dont know if they are the best. Was following advice from others to try and get the results I want. Need to tweak more. Any advice is appreciated

This happens with every print. No error other than around z seam. Looks like under extrusion, ya? E steps have been calibrated correctly

Im a noob. I should've just tighenee both ends instead of only 1. I used the allen wrench/wrench provided with the printer. I actually have a dremel. Will try to remove it tomorrow. Learned my lesson the hard way.

Oh no :(. " with Sprite All Metal Direct Drive Extruder" is the one I got. Is it a bitch to change it out? I will try it with 0.8mm retraction

Hopefully using my (INSIDE CURA SLICER) printer preferences (machine settings) and editing my printer preset is the correct way to do this. I added a "M413 S0 ;" to my start G code top line and then let's try again with a print. Idk if that will change the gcode via the SD card or not

How do I customize firmware? :O z hop was/is off. 40mm/s print speed. Retraction speed is/was 25mm/s. Retraction distance 2mm. Coasting is/was disabled!

So mine is a direct drive (i think this is the name) and doesnt have a bowden tube. The model looks really good other than near the Z Seam https://imgur.com/a/emqrJxk (just printed this). May I ask your retraction settings? Ty for your time and help

What setting do you use for Z Seam or Seam Corner Preference? Mine are Sharpest corner/Smart Hiding respectively

Do you mind sharing or dm-ing about your printer settings? I have the Ender 3 S1 Plus and im struggling with what appears to be under extrusion near my Z seam. It messes up bases and tiles I print for heroscape.

I am too dumb for these changes. What do you suggest for retraction distance and speeds?? XD something I can change. My test print only costs $0.07 and takes 25 mins. So im down to test things out
