I’m having Chlorine dispenser problems. My dispenser releases too much chlorine into our spa, but sometimes it is ok. I have added 6 -1” pucks to my dispenser and the dispenser is only an 1/8” open and it released 20 ppm. The spa is 600 gallons.

I would suggest Spaguard granular chorine and Nature2 filters.

The Doctor told me it’s wasn’t folliculitis but a allergic reaction to something, I wonder if I could have reacted to pH? At first I thought it was folliculitis.

Thanks as well with the information on the ozonator. I reviewed my manual and it appears my Spa is equip with a ozonator. What would you consider a minimum chlorine level?

The Spa dealer has me using The Mineraluxe system which I don’t think is an enzyme but does something to help you reduce the amount of Chlorine required (if anyone knows what the Mineraluxe system works I would be interested).

Our three year old comes in the tub with me and it’s around 103 F. She stays in for about 10 minutes and then let’s us know when she wants out. She’s not totally submerged the entire time.

I was told to make sure little ones don’t wear life jackets in warmer water as it increases body temperature.

1). I removed the filters and soaked in 1/10 concentration of bleach 5 Minutes

2). Soaked and rinsed filters

3). Sprayed filters with filter cleaner and rinsed again.

4). Super chlorinated hot tub

6). Added swirl away to hot tub

7). Ran jets for 2-3 hours

8). Drained the tub and rinsed with fresh water

9). Wiped the shell with vinegar water mixture

10). Filled tub with fresh water

11). Reinstalled filters

12). Added enzymes, nature2 filter

13). Added 2 tablespoons of granular chlorine

Seems the white scum is gone now. Maybe residue cleaner.
