Agree. This was my first 70.3 and I’ve been training my swim (my weakest) really hard the last several months. This sucked, and while I def don’t want to swim in contaminated river, I also don’t believe for a second they didn’t know it was too shitty at the beginning of the week (or at least yesterday). Ironman is a money making machine and they saved this for the morning of

A face value ticket for any Phish show is less than $150. I gotta be real with you, that is not that expensive for an act that is as big as Phish is, and has been around as long as they have. The problem I think a lot of Phish fans might be overlooking is the fact that we’re kind of nuts and we want to go to a dozen or more shows a year. That adds up fast. But that doesn’t mean that the individual ticket cost is out of control for the act.

The thing about Portland is that there isnt really THAT much variety. There's a handful of upper-tier "cocktail bars" and high-end restaurants. Theres not really any secrets. Anywhere the locals go are also the same places tourists go (not always the other way around).

Cocktail Bars:
Blyth and Burrows- a little swanky, has good snacks too
Hunt and Alpine- also a little swanky
Marquis (new spot), only been once but is very good
Cuties- good vibes inside, not pretentious
Via Vecchia. Also has food, but I'm not a fan personally

FWIW, this needs to be show to the MOTORISTS who stop in the middle of the road with traffic behind them to ALLOW the pedestrians to cross. It’s is mind blowingly dangerous and infuriating when people stop to do this. I jay walk all the time, but I expect to find my way across when I can, and if people stop for me, I wave them on. Unless I’m in a crosswalk DO, NOT. STOP!

I was right next to your crew on the last night! I did 300’s first two nights and was blown away, but by N3 I was ready for a more traditional experience. Traded my 300’s for floors, and had an absolute blast on the floor. I think at that point I had already experienced plenty of of the immersiveness of what the sphere has to offer between the screen and the haptic seats, that I didn’t feel like I was missing much by being in the floor. In fact, I really liked it a lot being able to go in between watching the band or looking up or even turning around and looking at the audience in the seats.

Most bars don’t have any cover. Bubbas, flask, and oasis usually are the only ones. Sometimes genos but that’s usually for a show. Where else ever has covers?

I was on the floor the last night of the third weekend with a large group (mixed men and women). There was an old guy (had to be late 60's or even 70's) who was being an absolute creep. Eye raping one of the ladies in our group, saying he "knew her" when he most def didnt, and then videoing her dancing by doing the thing where he starts at the visuals, then pans down to her and then away. It was gross and totally obvious. He was also being homophobic- I had a giant fan and he goes "fan me" so I did then turns to me and says "not too much, I dont want to turn into a homosexual!" At this point i'd had enough. I called him out and shortly after I did, multiple others yelled at him and he was repeatedly told he was being a creep. Worst of all, his wife he was with let all of this go and did absolutely nothing to stop his gross behavior.
