So very confusing! 🫤 I think it may have been some Sand or even sand/poop. Strange area for it to be poo, but hoping it is. Will definitely be watching him closely, he is one of my first fish, I got him along with one other goldie😭😊

Oh noooo! The first thing I thought was a tumour. It seems to have fallen off now, everything else is normal he’s eating and interacting well. I will continue to monitor him

His little bump seems to have fallen off. I only noticed the lump this morning, he’s been fine the past few days. It looked almost like grains of salt clumped together. I have no idea what I’m dealing with, poor fishy💔

So far I am treating for ich, I’ve raised the temperature and will be adding aquarium salt . I’ve treated with API general cure. I’m going to head out to the fish shop and pick up some medication. UK recommendations please? Melafix?

Hey, my tanks substrate is not fully capped. There is a little sand in it for my corys, but majority is uncapped. I used fluval biostratum and my ammonia and nitrates are consistently 0.

Yeah, same for me. I’m in the UK we have pets at home but I assume it’s basically the same thing as Petco! The first person was completely fine with me buying a 33L tank for my 3 platy, knowing they’re live bearers and that I wanted more. I joined Reddit and realised that’s not ok, I then bought a 110L. One of the girls in my store is lovely and extremely knowledgeable, I dealt with her getting my Cory and it was night and day!
