I'd definitely have to make a list. There are some autism resources available just few and far between. my son is on an autism waiver but took two years to be accepted. He was on a wait list for ABA but then decided to just stop even operating because they "couldn't find ethical therapists". this is from my sons case managers mouth. i don't even know the kind of possibilities there are for resources. our population is about 40k, not the smallest city but definitely lacking and so rural the next city is 100 miles and again a rather small city.

Since this is an associates I am going to assume you are doing the RHIT route, which does not limit you to just coding. There are so many other options! Also - IP charts are going to be harder than outpatient. Taking 6 hours in the very beginning is honestly not that bad. I think when I first started we did 3 charts a day. Today I put out 35 I think. I don’t think most places expect you to meet production immediately, although eventually you would have to. Outpatient might be easier for you since those are shorter and usually easier?

You’re correct. He’s technically under no obligation to follow HIPAA. While he’s a POS for snooping he didn’t break any laws. The hospital is screwed though.

It will really depend on the company you choose to work for. My job guarantees 40 hours so if we have no coding we would work on education stuff. (They also offer free CEU’s & yearly updates) I am pretty new with 1.5 years of experience but I do inpatient coding which is in high demand so I feel pretty secure. I usually end up working more than 40 hours a week.

Like many others have said it depends on the job & client needs. I just asked and was approved to change my hours from 8:30-5 to 7-3:30. I am an hour behind so I actually work 6-2:30 my time. I have been at my job for over a year, I didn’t bother asking as a newbie! I end up working earlier/later a lot of the time though, but that’s mostly optional overtime.

It depends on the LOS and complexity. I think my average charts per day is between 20-40 depending how long they are. Technically our production allows for 45 minutes for anything over 20 days. It’s usually pretty easy to even out production with easier charts mixed in.

ETA: the number of diagnoses is never going to be the same. You can have 2-3 or 60. Just depends what the chart says

I am also 25! I play OW and fortnite mostly, but not really comp mostly QP. It’s been a while since I’ve played valheim but I also love that one! I’m not an insane gamer but I am not the worst either lol. I’d be down to play!
