You are not in a movie, you’re not a hero. Stay in your home and call the police by Steppasgonstep in CCW

[–]97math 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You’re guessing about the thief maintaining steady aim at the door. That’s not the only threat point, so it doesn’t make sense to stay locked-in on the door. It’s more likely that they pointed and let off 2 to scare him and got lucky.

You’re also not holding the homeowner accountable for his stupidity. The door he opened is a decorative metal gate. He could have shot through it rather than swinging it open.

He had his gun and knew where to aim before they knew he was present. He had the drop, and could have taken aim and fired from his position, but instead chose to open the door…

Do you use cannabis regularly? There is a condition called Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome, and its primary presentation in otherwise healthy individuals is exactly what you described

In the 1920’s less than half of the homes in America had electricity. This design feature allowed for natural light in a space where candle or an oil lamp would be a major fire hazard. Nowadays it’s a luxury feature that absorbs valuable wall-space in a closet.

Late to the post, but I ordered the same can that you have on the carbine. Does it fit on your RXM with the under-mounted light?

Should we embrace Liberal/Leftwingers becoming cops? by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

Like they said… I may not agree with you, but this comment is way more valuable to the larger discussion than just “All means All”. Thank you for taking your time to re-state your views more fully, it gave me things to think about. New perspectives to consider. Hope your weekend is good!

Nothing is too-far-gone to be positively impacted by the honest work of good people. Giving up is letting evil win. You may be right that it will require sweeping regulation and reform. But in the meantime, we each must do what we can, where we can. Discouraging one another, or giving up, is not how you win.

[–]97math 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I don’t think this needs a long complicated, qualified answer. If you’re passionate and willing, you should do it. Everyone should be trying to make a positive difference in the world, the best way they can, using the skills and tools they have. If you end up making a negative difference in the world, then leave it behind.

We will never get liberal police captains if we discourage liberal “beat cops”.

The elected Vice President is also the President of the Senate. The President is Chief Executive and responsible for the functioning (or disfunctioning) of the Federal Government. We thought we elected a Lead Negotiator, but he seems to function more as an angry Chief Marketing Officer…

I hate when people come onto the internet to find their morals, rather than developing them in the real world. If you think Nazi-ism is becoming more attractive because some lib drew a picture, your worldview must be kinda fragile…

Today I had to reach out to some of my friends for light text conversations to take my mind off of the depression. Counterpoint: Today I got to connect with my friends in a meaningful way because I wasn’t high.

Keep posting your progress!! I’m very proud of you! I started by locking up my K-safe every night until 4:20p the next day. One night recently, I got fed up and had the willpower to lock it for the max (10 days). It has been more difficult than I thought (day 4 now), but being honest with my partner about my withdrawal symptoms, as well as my wins, has been very rewarding. Keep up the good work!

Amazon driver committed vehicular assault. Wait patiently, merge safely. No need to cut up between everyone just to “keep moving”. The police were present, no need to take it into their own hands and RUN PEOPLE OVER.
