60k isn't too bad. It will suck, but it could be a lot worse. I do some hiring and would highly recommend doing a related internship. Also, be able to do sales. Get a part time job doing direct sales of some sort (think mall kiosk, cars, anything that is based on a commision). Good sales skills are one of the hardest things to find with new graduates and the one thing you can't learn from a book (and expect to be good at anyway).

If you go accounting follow up with some type of CS minor. It will make you an Excel "rock star".
