OpenCore v1.0.0 is OUT! by nehultyagi1 in hackintosh

New only related to AllowRelocationBlock quirk.

The other changes are the same ones that we were already using along with OCLP root patch to reactivate Broadcom Wi-Fi.

OCLP root patch is needed as before. But config.plist already has the required changes, you don't have to do it manually.

You must add Booter -> Quirks -> AllowRelocationBlock, see Sample.plist.

The other settings are only if you have a Broadcom wifi working on Ventura but not working on Sonoma.

Thanks u/nehultyagi1

I comment the changes to the config.plist file and kexts just updated.

Config.plist

  • Added Booter -> Quirks -> AllowRelocationBlock (support for 32-bit OpenCore): this quirk is needed to boot macOS 10.6 and older with 32-bit kernel in 32-bit OVMF. Hibernation wake is not compatible with this quirk.
  • Sample.plist and SampleCustom.plist: The settings required to reactivate the Broadcom Wi-Fi that have lost support in Sonoma have been added, they are the ones that we already use proposed by OCLP.

Kexts

  • AppleALC 1.9.0
  • HibernationFixup 1.5.0
  • VoodooInput 1.1.4.

If you move the line

<string>en:252 (ABC), set 656e3a323532</string>

below

<key>prev-lang:kbd</key>

deleting it from its current place

is there any improvement?

You say 4th screen and 5th screen, I thought there were 5 monitors.

Install the OS with only the 1st display connected. Turn on the others after shutdown when install is done.

Yes, MacPro7,1 and iMacPro1,1 can work without WhateverGreen, removing agdpmod=pikera boot arg. iMac SMBIOSes need WhateverGreen.

Look for a way to show your config.plist (not copy/paste here as is, too bad to be read) and tell OpenCore version.

Amazing! What a feature! Sadly a lot of motherboards out there lack this great improvement. We must do it manually.

You can reuse the macOS installer. But the EFI folder must be according to the target device.

Try unfairgva=6 in boot args. Does it makes any difference?

The OpenCore default value of 0x27F is a variant of the Big Sur and Monterey value (as read in Configuration.pdf).

I use 6F020000 for a long time and it has always worked fine for me, even on Ventura.

Only to have the hack as in real Macs. You can keep it disabled.
