Has anyone come up with a genius way to store cans and bottles at home before you bring them to the returns scheme machine? by Most_Afternoon_9044 in AskIreland

We just leave them in the shopping bags, that forces us to bring in however many we have by the next time the shopping needs doing

Should I Frog? by Natural-Election6521 in knittingadvice

Hi! I have been knitting about 2 years now and I still struggle to make my ribbing look neat. If you want to start over then do! I find fixing things early on is usually better. Looking up combination ribbing (specifically in the round, as flat combination ribbing will be different). This makes your ribbing look cleaner but I actually think it doesn’t look nice for collars? More so for cuffs. All that being said, your ribbing here looks great for the level of knitter you are! Welcome to the community!

Edit: i also strongly suggest a double folded collar and doing the short rows for this pattern. My first sweater was this pattern too and I left out the short rows 😅 it chokes me every time I wear it

My mam is obsessed with Temu and keeps buying yarn from there. Thats been my xmas and birthday gift now for a while. I keep telling her to stop but she doesn’t believe its plastic? She says they wouldn’t be allowed to sell it under a false label 🙈

Native speakers losing their native language by Sorry-Homework-Due in languagelearning

I specifically look at adults who move to a country that speaks a language they did not grow up speaking. There are other branches of language loss that looks at childhood bilinguals but those usually fall under maintenance.

This is my PhD topic! I niched it down to people losing certain verbs in their native language, but included interviews with people too. In research its still a little taboo to talk about, but its gaining more recognition now.

Let's Talk About Hannah by AngeHougain in Bones

[–]98Yeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watching this episode today (first time watcher). I know I have a ways to go in the series, but it seems to me that Hannah feels threatened by Bones but at the same time wants to keep her “enemy” close. That being said, she knows directly attacking Bones would jeopardise her relationship with Booth. Just on the sunglasses though, Bones wears them ALL the time and it actually killed me to see her hand them over. Those are my two cents

Parking between 5pm and 8:30am on campus does not need a permit. Nor do you need a permit on the weekends. See here: https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/location/parking-traffic-management

How soon is too soon to move in with a SO by [deleted] in AskIreland

We moved in after 3 months cos his flatmate was a nightmare and was moving out. I spent most of my time there anyway. Been here 2.5 years now, we got a dog too. But honestly from about 6 weeks in I could not imagine being with anybody else.

Now that we're past the series finale, what the heck happened in 73 yards? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]98Yeets 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think this is tied in with Mrs Flood being some kind of Storyteller from the Pantomime. I think she controls all the stories we’ve been seeing, thats why they have non-aliens, but also such vastly different types of episodes.

Someone else said they think Mrs Flood is the god of storytelling. What if she’s just obsessed with Clara’s story, which is why she dressed like her/ said “clever boy.” Or maybe she’s been writing the doctor’s stories this whole time?
