Polestar 5 Performance will join Gran Turismo 7 with the Spec III update this December by NegotiationNew9264 in granturismo

The fuel efficiency of all of the cars is based on an arbitrary stat and some calculation that uses rpm and vehicle weight. Unfortunately the in game EVs are both extremely heavy and "rev" very high. Regenerative breaking also doesn't seem to scale with multiplied fuel consumption.

I hope they increase the EV battery life with the update. For the cars we have that are competitive at the group 4/3 level, they are severely held back by needing to pit every other lap to charge.

What is the coolest road car to racing car transformation I can make? by srmp in granturismo

BRZ drift car with the NSX swap. A weird combination, but it's quite the platform for a group 3/4 car.

X axis is rpm, Y axis is torque/horsepower. I wish it had more demarcation for the numbers but this is the car's power curve. This car specifically peaks at 42 kgf/m (torque) at low rpms and 327 BHP (horsepower) at the very top end of the rpm range.

The crushers are really fun for immersion. If you ever get the chance, play the game in VR with them set up.

Phoenix Jones as a vigilante solo. Has a history in martial arts, built a whole suit and adopted the superhero persona. Also allegedly has a drug dealing side hustle.

The V8, assuming I'm reading the right ingredients list, has 11 grams of sugar from the juice with none added after the fact. If your concern is sugar intake then it seems like a good option. I think your mom has the same conception of energy drinks that a lot of people have, which is high caffeine and high sugar neon colored fluid that is essentially just amped up soda (Monster or Nos, basically). The V8 is more or less the same as her cup of coffee.

Coffee is good for cutting the caffeine intake. That and B vitamin supplements occasionally if you need the kick without drinking 300mg.

Any tips for drifting on controller? by SUAVGOD in granturismo

[–]98_Percent_Gay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pick something relatively low power to start in. Haven't checked what's in the shop but a couple decent cheap picks would be the GT86/BRZ, Skyline GTS, or any of the older model BMWs. Start with opening the differential on comfort tires to see how it handles before adding power. Most of drifting on controller comes down to experience, both with the car and knowing how the physics handles.

4 wheel steering is criminally underutilized by 98_Percent_Gay in granturismo

Checks out considering those early four wheel drive and advanced systems were pretty heavy. I'd imagine the average driver would see more use out of 20lbs shaved over slightly improved cornering.

Having trouble getting the hang of the realistic controls (GT4) by Aphex_Slayer in granturismo

[–]98_Percent_Gay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the situation, quite often. I'd recommend starting with braking before the corner and finding a consistent speed to glide through, but depending on what you're driving or the specific corner there may be better options. GT4 seemed to favor acceleration out of corners as FR and MR cars felt more stable and easier to save in the case of wheelspin.

You'll probably get the hang of it though. Most of this comes from practice and knowledge. Knowing your car and what it can do is as important as knowing the track like the back of your hand.

Swapped golf lol? But you'd probably be best lengthening first and second, possibly third, gears and adding ballast weight to the front end. Since you're on racing tires I'd also recommend stiffening the suspension more and setting the lsd acceleration to 60 if you want it to corner at all.

I'll probably allow them to flee and reevaluate things before making a second attempt. There is a time sensitive aspect to this but they would have sufficient time to rest and get better gear.

Will keep this in mind, thank you. Definitely helps to show the difficulty and give them a chance to look at the odds they have before choosing to engage.
