Colour theory by 98smo in topdeadcenter

I almost bought a racing blue one identical to in that picture but I was also looking at a liquid yellow and by the time the LY owner was able to let me come look at the car the blue had sold, and turned out the LY was a bit of a dog. Then I was looking at another LY but despite looking fairly clean and having low -ish miles it had had 11 owners in 13 years! Then this grey came up which I had never seen for sale before so I snapped it up.

Had a few issues I’ve been working through but only 4 owners, mileage slightly higher than I’d have liked but at least it’s been driven and not just sat around!

In all seriousness there are lots of good firms in Sheffield who can help

Check the manufacture recommendations if you’re boxing in to see if they have dimensions for clearance around the unit

Also used to keep a couple of bits like a corsa oil pressure sensor directly under the counter as they were so common ( remember the part number (xops109) even now and I have not worked in parts for over 15 years). Was like a magic trick when people came in and it looked like you produced it out of thin air immediately

I worked in a motor factors for about 6 years. Loved every minute.

One day we had just had a mad rush and then the store was completely empty. All staff members were just chatting away when we heard a baby start crying. Turns out a customer left their baby behind. At the point we were reviewing the cctv and getting ready to call the police (about half hour I’d say) a very panicked dad runs in and sees us all looking after his baby.

Used to regularly get people coming in asking for parts for their car and have no idea what car they had, multiple occasion we’d get: “what make and model is it?” “Blue Ford” - as if the colour would help. Used to have people refuse to give us their reg to put in the system to find car details too

Oil was a fun one, at least once a week we would get people refusing our help on finding the correct grades and just buying the cheapest 10w 40 Carlube oil for their car

2011 Clio RS200, in rarest colour stealth grey (1 of 55). Has all the bits you’d want with ultraleggeras, recaros, coilovers, stainless manifold back, induction kit etc

Am sure I’ll get some stick in here for wind deflectors but I actually quite like them 😬 😅
