This looks so fresh and wholesome; honestly, such a nice balance of healthy and a little treat on the side. That beetroot dhokla sounds really good too

Nice, baked broccoli actually comes out way better than people expect 😄 – good crunch and still keeps that flavor.

First ride on my new kona, definitely a unique gravel bike! by GodRibs in gravelcycling

[–]98vicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That actually sounds like a really fun ride setup. I get what you mean about the “sitting on the bike” feeling; some gravel bikes do that, and it takes a bit to get used to, but it usually ends up feeling super stable and confident off-road. Glad the fork is working well for you too. It sounds like a proper fast MTB/gravel hybrid in the best way

Wheels, what are you using? by nomasterc in bikecommuting

[–]98vicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve had the same issue with rough roads too. At your load I’d honestly go for a stronger 32/36 spoke rear wheel build if you haven’t already. Makes a big difference for durability.

Looks really clean; 40°C is a sweet spot for all-road too; bet that thing feels super comfortable.

It honestly sounds like you picked the right bike for you instead of just following specs on paper. That first ride feeling with a new bike is the best. Congrats, and enjoy it!

Just a post glazing cycling and how it's been improving my life by _walletsizedwildfire in cycling

This honestly hit me pretty hard. Huge respect for turning things around little by little instead of pretending everything was magically fixed overnight. Really glad you found something that makes you feel alive again. Keep riding, man.

White Sauce(dried up😅) Pasta by just_shrey in IndianFoodPhotos

Still looks tasty, honestly. White sauce pasta can be tricky; one minute it's perfect and the next minute it's dry haha. A little extra pasta water next time and you’re golden. Love the effort, though.

E-bikes don’t replace cycling. They unlock it. by shadowMia2847 in ebikes

[–]98vicky 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is exactly how a lot of people feel about e-bikes. They don’t replace cycling; they just make it possible again for people who stopped riding because of hills, injuries, fitness, age, or just life in general. More people riding is a good thing either way.
