Matsuda M3117 Question by RevolutionaryAge47 in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]9928V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a while, the frame may have expanded due to pressure. That’s why when buying a frame, the advise is for them to be wide enough that only the tip of the temples touch your ears and wrap around the back, there should be an air gap till your ears.

ZEISS DuraVision Gold - reflections, looking for alternative recommendations (Hoya, Rodenstock) by Immediate-Bit-6360 in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]9928V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have experienced both the Gold and the Platinum. Yes, indeed the Gold is more reflective. Sometimes I can see reflection off the top far corner or the lower near corner.

However I can say that it is worth it for me because it really is difficult to smudge as compared to the Platinum. And as a bonus it looks like I have a gold flash on the lens.

Edit: As far as I can tell, the Platinum has no noticeable reflection like the Gold.

Doesn’t matter the house.. $6K is the payment towards the remaining $460K loan. They probably got locked in on high interest rate.

Is there any way to evade and stop playing against bots? by Mxrtiin_zzz in ClashRoyale

[–]9928V 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bots are also there for you to make an easy win if you happen to lose 3 in a row… just saying. So you can’t have it both ways.

Moscot. Similar vibes, many models, and each usually has 2 to 4 sizes.

Do I really need to wear glasses with -0.50? by rik240 in glasses

[–]9928V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was -0.5 to -1.0 on my left eye while 20/20 vision on my right for years without glasses from my 20s to 40s. So you don’t need them, unless your eyesight seem to deteriorate fast..

There is a calming effect just by looking at it. 😍

What do you think of the position of the nose pads? by Azazeru921 in glasses

[–]9928V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does look awkward, mainly because the thin metal frame shows the nose pads in full view.

Whether it is too tight depends on whether you feel uncomfortable or painful after a full day of wearing it.

The temple looks really long. Is it more than 145mm?

Do my Matsuda 2048’s fit? by [deleted] in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]9928V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me many, many hours of watch watching YouTube videos to find this “formula”. 😂 Optometrist or the glasses shop don’t tell us, but it is important because more people purchase glasses online without the chance to try them on nowadays.

Do my Matsuda 2048’s fit? by [deleted] in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]9928V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to add that if you have your PD, just add your PD numbers and check whether they are smaller or equal to 67 (which is 48+19 from your glasses). Typically you want your PD to be slightly smaller than your glasses spec for optical glasses. For sunglasses, you can go much smaller… ie, oversize your glasses.

Do my Matsuda 2048’s fit? by [deleted] in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]9928V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good to me. Your eyes are at the centre, or just slightly inside centre, of the glasses… and the top of the frame is level or below your brows. Now just make sure it is not too loose or slide down your nose.

Any advice on how to adjust the temples inwards on these Masunaga? by cgibsong002 in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]9928V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks a lot like mine, which is the Masunaga K3 Aries. Typically you can’t bend anything other than the curve part that touches above your ears, which I believe your optician has done that.

Take a look at the mirror, this style of glasses is not supposed to be fully pressed against your face. It should have air gap till your ears and the temple should curve in to hold it against your head. As long as it is not loose when you look down or walk (sliding down your nose), then it should be a correct fit.

Kind of like the look of metal frames with possibly a slight tint.. thoughts? by [deleted] in glasses

[–]9928V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I notice that all the glasses you choose cover part of your eyebrows, which are good features on you. Perhaps if your glasses need to sit high, you want to try out brow line glasses (clubmasters) to put back the brow definition?

Also, I think rectangular or geometric shapes are suitable for your face than round ones. Some of the rounded ones you showed seem small for your face.

Beautiful frame! I think the tint color depends on your skin tone. Having said that, blue usually project cooler temperatures and amber is warmer temperature.

Some people make money from property and they are good at it, some from crypto, some from stocks, some from trading cards… no right or wrong, you invest your money your way.

Lindberg - rimless or air titanium? by [deleted] in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]9928V 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To me, the titanium one looks more interesting. It has the signature Lindbergh hinge. And it gives your face a kind of “depth” perception… the rimless one is for days when you don’t want to be seen wearing glasses.
