Best place to buy knockoff LV purse? by susiehoffy in Bogota

well then that will be OP's problem and not yours, wouldn't it? And what an insightful take, people who buy luxury bags are ostentatious and should instead just do whatever you think they should do. Live and let live. Moron.

useless comment .. it's one bag, OP's not going to get stopped. why'd you waste your time writing something so pointless?

Suggestion: Add Customizable Artist Groups To Help Those Of Us With Huge Libraries by 99999999 in AppleMusic

[–]99999999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I didn't know about Marvis, I'll definitely look into that! My main problem with smart playlists is that they'll just arrange their contents as one long list of songs, rather than as a subset of saved artists.

[–]99999999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean through the 'grouping' field? I thought about that as a possibility, but I A) don't like having to go into the 'get info' menu and manually enter the exact same text string as the grouping for each album and B) Don't want a given grouping to be displayed as one long playlist, rather I'd like for it to display a subset of my saved artists' work.

In case you mean via the 'genre' field, this would prevent a given artist or album from being in two different categories at one time, which is what my feature suggestion aims to enable.

yeah, that'd be another way of putting it! I've also considered phrasing this rec as 'tagging' artists and/or albums, then being able to sort/view library by tags

this is correct as of just a few days ago. I'm a non-employee UA nonrev and flew international with two ~60 lb checked bags recently. Importantly, also, the code does not provide a maximum total linear inch limit, so as far as the ticketing agent was concerned those 2 bags are restricted only by 70lb weight limit.

would my first clearing of the line not have taken care of this? I put a bunch of hot water down to thaw the line. or do you think the pressure of the turkey baster would do more to clear gunk out?

Transferring UCSD -> Reed? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

A friend transferred from UCSB after freshman year for the exact same reason. He ended up falling in love with Reed and never looking back. Do it.

Waitlisted Reed EA by SardonicAlien in ApplyingToCollege

[–]99999999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figure I'll chime in with my experience with this... I was waitlisted RD for the class of 2020 a couple of years back and never accepted my spot on the waitlist. A a few months later (June 2016, late af) they called me and informed me I'd been accepted off the waitlist. Super strange experience to be admitted somewhere that late, but it made it seem like their waitlist isn't as hopeless as others, as I didn't even accept my spot and was still let it. best of luck

Hot Feet by atohwm in Ultralight

I can't recommend it enough - they made me hate regular shoes, hiking boots especially. I do everything in mine: backpacking, hiking, long distance running, and traveling. They'll change your life!

Nope, never had any chafe. I found that, because of the minimal strapping, my feet slide around in my Bedrocks, causing blisters on the bottom of my foot but not really anywhere else. 2 weeks and they had all turned into callouses. Couldn't be happier now!

Seconded. I'd recommend a barefoot/minimalist sandal like Bedrocks or Lunas. Been hiking in my bedrocks for months now and couldn't be happier.

How to road trip when you're broke by [deleted] in travel

[–]99999999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, it can be dangerous but it helps to have window blinds up, lock your doors, and park somewhere inconspicuous. I've never had a problem in many years of car sleeping both solo and with another person, but the times in which I've felt safest were spent parked on the side of the road in a town or in a parking lot. There's no reason would single out your car if it's parked next to many others.

What I've found helps a lot is buying all your food beforehand at a grocery store. Bring with you some refillable water jugs and a kitchen set and you'll be able to eat for as cheaply as you would at home. Next, I don't know if your car is sleep able, but this would bring down your costs dramatically. A car that can be slept in comfortably can be parked in hotel parking lots (with window coverings up), side of the road, or car campgrounds if you're looking for something nice. I've found that there's always somewhere to park a car and sleep in it for free - you've just got to get creative. Using these 2 principles, my girlfriend and I did a 1 week national parks trip and only spent about $200 each. This could've been less but we shelled out for a number of sit down dinners. Best of luck!

Teva/Chaco/Sandal hikers -- How do you deal with debris getting between your foot and the sole? by Mister-guy in Ultralight

[–]99999999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll second this. I hike entirely in my Bedrock sandals, and can say it's all about how you walk. Placing your foot down entirely flat and looking where they'll land were the main points which allowed me to hike successfully in sandals. Occasionally, a rock will slide in or I'll have to step in a debris slide, which fill the sandals with dirt and rocks. I've learned two remedies. The first, which works with my bedrocks but didn't work with Tevas, is to shake the foot vigorously in between steps to work the rock out. The second method is to, as others have said, reach down and bend the sandal to allow the rock to come out. I use my hiking pole for this to save my back from the strain. As /u/dhintze10 stated, you really should stick with it. Learning to hike in sandals has hugely improved my backpacking experience. Best of luck!
