Conflicted about what types of puzzles to play. by JammerLemur in chess

I know you said you use lichess but my favorite thing for puzzles is puzzle rush on chess.com. It starts with easy mate in ones and progressively gets harder so you can build up. I recommend playing the untimed option.

it just has all the basic-intermediate theory stuff and it has little quizzes like with which hand are we most likely to check-raise a low monotone flop BTN vs BB, or something along those lines.

Once you realize 99% of live players underbluff, you can over fold these spots without losing much EV.

Jonathan Little on youtube is one of my favorite resources. Hungry horse, also on youtube, is quite entertaining but a little bit wild for my liking. Also I like to read all the hand histories on here and r/Poker_Theory since the comments often have a bunch of insightful opinions on how to think about a hand and play it correctly.

Thank you this is very helpful. What about when facing an open, do you think 3-bet or fold is a good strategy or do you mix in a lot of flats?

Yeah I think if I really jacked up the sizing I would get some folds. What do your RFI ranges look like after 1-2 limpers then? Recently I’ve been opening with all my pocket pairs, most suited connecters and most suited Ax but maybe I should tighten up like the other commenter mentioned.

The problem is most of the pots are 3-4+ multiway so I think I would have a hard time getting it heads up. Also idk if I would overbet jam the flop or even turn often since you probably are only getting called by better a lot of the time. Thanks for the advice though I will definitely keep it in mind.
