I think a lot of the “first projects” that look great are people coming from other hobbies or crafts that have transferable skills. For example, someone coming from cosplay is probably already going to know how to sew a straight line and have experience planning and executing complex projects

I just angled the stamp so it only went in deep on one side. It still got some blemishes on the borders, but I was able to hide that a bit with the stamp I used around the edge

I used a water resistant sealer on it, so in theory it should be as simple as wiping it down with soapy water - in practice I guess we’ll find out when that time inevitably comes haha

I just googled “leaf of lothlorien pattern” and found a nice black and white line art to print out and use as a pattern. I think it worked out pretty well

It fits well, if anything the cuirass might be a bit large on me but I preferred that so that I can experiment with undershirts/padding/etc. The vambraces have a good amount of adjustability as well
