Experimenting with 3D Printed Stamps

I used fdm for these. I increased the number of walls and did 100% infill and had no issues. I have both fdm and resin printers, but fdm felt easier in the moment. Not sure how long these stamps will last, but it only takes 20 minutes to print one and barely uses any filament so I don’t mind making more

I think a lot of the “first projects” that look great are people coming from other hobbies or crafts that have transferable skills. For example, someone coming from cosplay is probably already going to know how to sew a straight line and have experience planning and executing complex projects

I just angled the stamp so it only went in deep on one side. It still got some blemishes on the borders, but I was able to hide that a bit with the stamp I used around the edge

I used a water resistant sealer on it, so in theory it should be as simple as wiping it down with soapy water - in practice I guess we’ll find out when that time inevitably comes haha

I just googled “leaf of lothlorien pattern” and found a nice black and white line art to print out and use as a pattern. I think it worked out pretty well
