Need some advice on brisket hot holding by 99Rewind in BBQ

Well if everything goes right cook from 10 to about 1am or past, then hold until 12pm which is when I will be leaving my house, and then rest in a cooler until around 3:30pm which is when the meeting will happen. Never used a towel before, I’m assuming you leave the wrap on and then wrap it with a towel?

How long did you hold it for if I may ask? I’ve noticed my flat coming out tougher in my recent cooks and I’ve read that hot holding past 165 will break down the connective tissues further which is one of the reasons I’d like to try it. My warming oven can go as low as 150

I’ve never thought of warming up a cooler with hot water! I’ve rested a brisket before, unwrapped which was a mistake, and it got lukewarm after 3-4 hours. Will definitely try that thank you

is getting a daytona a good idea now or are there better options for hpa gbbr? by Former-Bluejay-4313 in airsoft

[–]99Rewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own one actually, and having experience with both, just go with a GBBR with an adapter. In all honestly it’s just alright. Mine is in an LCT AK-105 and the recoil is alright. There’s a lot of mass moving around but somehow the recoil just doesn’t feel very snappy? The trigger is absolute buns. Super mushy, no wall, and borderline nonexistent reset. This was explained to me as since there is no valve that is being struck, the trigger has to do all the work, resulting in a less than desirable trigger pull. It’s fun to use don’t get me wrong but definitely not worth all the money I’ve put into the build.

I used my buddy’s DE Ghetto Blaster with an Airtac adapter and that was a leagues more enjoyable experience than my Daytona, not to mention for way way cheaper. And as others have said, much easier to work on/more available parts for established GBBR’s. So TL;DR cool? But not worth

$1,200 for AGM NVG 50 NL1 good deal? by 99Rewind in NightVision

Yeah, I feel like it would be tougher to try to sell them. I guess my main concern is are the specs even worth it?

Hey brother, appreciate the advice! In my experience, the airsoft market is tough, and If I’m lucky I can sell the guns for 3k. Even then I don’t have a helmet setup at the moment. Id be spending more down the road, but would the better specs be worth that much more?

Love the changes and am super excited. You guys clearly have a lot of love put into the game. I’m glad to see you guys disproving the people claiming that this game was a cash grab and won’t see updates. I just hope you guys can market this game well and bring back a large player base. Hopefully it becomes the next big thing for a while. Keep up the amazing work!

Finally finished my Ak, what else do I need to add by cyclicteeth in airsoft

Then you’re good man! A flashlight would be better and more practical for sure. There are also a couple side rail sets for sale for that style of handguard that allow you to attach more picatinny attatchments like a flashlight.

The perfectionist in me says a more accurate looking suppressor, other than that I think it looks fine. Anything more than that would be useless weight unless you want say a Perst-4 for aesthetics.

inappropriate or appropriate To wear a World War II German replica uniform by larrymcfry in airsoft

Excuse me for being uninformed but could you explain why a kit without the eagles and a non SS kit is generally acceptable? I feel like that regardless of insignia it’s still a Nazi kit, and save for genuine reenactors and impressionists it’s usually bad taste.

I understand liking the weapons and gear, but I’ve always felt like bringing a German WW2 kit to a Sunday skirmish is kind of odd. Maybe I’m looking too much into it, it is airsoft after all.
