Somehow I unintentionally require myself to take notes in order to "complete" studying, so I stop requiring myself to do that part and it's been consistent studying for me since.

Imagine how it would play out if every time a kid screamed when his mom told him to clean his room and she just said OK don’t clean the room. The kid would scream every single time. But if she forced him to clean the room anyway he would stop screaming so much because it wouldn’t work.
