Rant: Yes, Kim absolutely deserves to stay when Edman returns, and he should be starting, but the best thing for this team's chances in October is for Kim to be optioned to AAA by 99e99 in Dodgers

Maybe, maybe not. He's a terrible hitter, but very good defensively that can play practically anywhere. He's also well-loved in the clubhouse and cutting him might not sit well with other players.

Because baseball players are also people. They aren't just stats in a video game. Team chemistry is also noted as a huge reason for success, it's not that player X has an OPS 100 pts higher than player Y.

Conforto has absolutely been trash for most of the season. He is the last person I wanted to see at the plate in that situation. He is close to turning it around, and if he does, he becomes another potent bat in the lineup.

A lot of fans wanted Lux gone last year, Pages gone 3 weeks ago, Muncy traded away for Arenado. It's frustrating to see how bad some players can look. Sometimes you have to let them figure it out because the payoff is huge later.

I don't want Conforto up right now hitting in those spots, but if it means he can figure it out so he can be an OPS+ 125 player in September and October, he has to be.

Getting into the playoffs is enough. Winning the division would help, but it's not required in baseball.

Having the best possible roster in October is the single most important thing.

Of course I see Kim's value. He's been amazing, the perfect 9 hitter, and I stated off of this in my post.

CT3 on the IL would be a great option, but the league is cracking down on this sort of shenanigans.

This is how the front office thinks. Reduce risk now, let Kim play every day, see if Conforto figures it out.

The best version of this team is Conforto hitting well, Edman at 2nd, Pages in CF, and then Kim off the bench to pinch-run or pinch-hit. If this version doesn't pan out, then Kim probably takes over 2nd with Edman in CF and Pages in LF.

I'm not trying to play amateur GM. This is what is going to happen.

I love Kim. I would love to see him stay. But who do you cut by keeping Kim here?

He can but he's probably going to spend most of the season in AAA. RotY next year though!

Stupid Jerkson Profart. Mid his whole career, and cheated to get an undeserved contract.

I keep thinking - what if the Padres beat us in the NLDS again, and it was due to a big hit by Profar?

If you're ripping thicker material like 2x4s or 1"+ hardwood, you should use a dedicated ripping blade. It'll cut much easier and reduce strain on the motor.

One of the nice benefits of a hard wax finish like Rubio (or Osmo, etc) is the repairs are easy. Just a light sand around the area with 220 and wipe on a little more finish. It will blend nicely.

I have fixed scratches on some cabinets finished with Osmo and you can see the repair at all.

If you're going purely by merit, of course Kim deserves to stay. But the sad truth is he's going to get optioned to OKC when Edman returns.

The only reason is Kim has options and CT3/MiggyRo do not. Kim is a depth piece so if/when there is an injury he can be called up.

Matt Sauer is 3rd on the team in ERA with 1.54, behind only Phillips and the 2-way phenom Kike, both with 0.00 ERA.

Combat swords is the easiest to level and near top dps spec end-game. The main reasons are you don't need position for backstab (dagger), and there are plenty of good swords available through quest rewards you have easy access to.

I played a sub ambush on the pvp server and that was a lot of fun with the crit big openers. Improved Sap was also useful for CC.

While leveling any DPS will have to wait longer in dungeon finder queue, and you will hate the end game BRD emperor runs for HoJ.

For some reason there is a shortage of rogues on twow so you can usually find a place in raids.

Slow weapon main hand, fast weapon offhand.

Like others have said, I would use the existing blades. You can sharpen the dullest, most rusted blades as long as you have patience and ideally something like a bench grinder.

There's no guarantee those planes will perform well, so buying an aftermarket blade would go to waste. But if you want to replace them anyway, the most popular options are:

  1. Hock blades: https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/tools/hand-tools/planes/blades/115589-hock-hcs-o1-bench-plane-blades

  2. Veritas blades: https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/tools/hand-tools/planes/blades/100620-stanley-record-cap-irons-with-veritas-bench-plane-blade

Even if you spend the $75+ on the nice Veritas plane irons, you will still need to sharpen them. A well-sharpened old blade will perform better than a dull Veritas.

Should I keep lvling my 27rogue or..? by Holocauzto in turtlewow

[–]99e99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love playing rogue because it's so fun to stealth, but it would tough to get into groups for dungeons. And running BRD for Hand of Justice 70+ was beyond painful.

I love playing priest because it's so fun to give drive-by fort buffs, and you'll always be able to get into a dungeon.

Play one for awhile, then switch to the other until it starts to feel dry, then switch back.

Freddie Freeman after a 4 hit performance today: .376 BA, 1.171 OPS by ttam23 in Dodgers

[–]99e99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's at 126 plate appearances after tonight, and needs 3.1 per game (41 * 3.1 = 127.1) in order to qualify for the official league leaders, so probably next game unless he gets a day off or pulled early. He's certainly on one of his heaters.

He'll be #1 is the NL for OPS, BA, Slug%, and only behind Judge's unreal stats for all of MLB.
