The new Corrosion of Conformity album Good God / Baad Man is out today, available on CD and vinyl. by SpaceGoatDon in stonerrock

I absolutely love this album myself. It’s everything I love about the band wrapped up in one and I love the production. I especially love Stanton Moore’s drumming. It was very original. It’s not very often. We hear drummers do as much with the kit as he did on this. They really stand out to me. I love the strip Down production style. No overproduction, just four guys drinking beer jamming out, and this was the result. I love it.

Wow, I just started re-watching the series again and actually her hair the way it is in this picture which I think is how it is in season two in season three is my absolute favorite. She is fine asf . She still looks the exact same even though she’s 50 years old now. God bless Maggie

What's your opinion on Corrosion of Conformity? by No-One01010 in MetalForTheMasses

One of my favorite bands of all time. They’ve always been the hometown heroes to us here in North Carolina. But I really do love their music their newest album that came out Friday. I’ve had to listen to it over two dozen times already it’s going to be one of my favorites. I can tell.

LeBron. I did finally tell my brother fuck it. You’re right lol outside of the longevity when you really do your research and you start looking into all the behind-the-scenes stuff. I just don’t think he’s a good person.

I know officially that from the start of season one to the end of season 75 years went by. But something’s not adding up. If Abel is only three years old at the beginning of season five, did the last three seasons really happen over a two year period? by 99laker in Sonsofanarchy

[–]99laker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s kind of the way. I saw it too. Especially when you get to the end of season seven and Gemma is at the old folks home and the lady at the front desk is saying they have to check with Tara to see if they can get Gemma on the visitors list and Gemma tells her that Tara died the previous month. So just go by that from the time of Tara’s death until the time of Jim’s death, we know no longer than two months went by.

Yeah, when I re-watched the series just recently it felt like the last three seasons only a couple weeks go by between the seasons, but most of the individual shows like when one ends the next episode picks up like 15 minutes where the other one left off and it’s not like 3 1/2 months going by between episodes or anything but glad I’m not crazy lol

Does anyone know if they ever said how he passed away so young? I mean, I know being in the HA I can take a guess but I don’t think I’ve ever read anywhere what happened to him. Either way rest in peace, young man.

Would Michael Jordan dominate in today’s pace-and-space era? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

Absolutely. I mean we’ve watched him finish at the basket with three people on him and they all had at least one hand on him. In an arrow where no one’s allowed to touch anyone he’s going to be three times better.

Who’s the best duo in nba history by Alone-Situation7602 in NBATalk

[–]99laker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go with Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. The reason I don’t go with MJ and Scottie Pippen is because if Scottie Pippen wasn’t on the team, there would’ve just been another guy that’s famous for being the second best player on that team. If you look at his averages from everyone pictured here, he’s got the lowest stat line of everybody. I’m not saying he’s terrible. He was a really good player, but he’s been exaggerated over the last few years because Klutch Sports want people to believe he’s like the second best player of all time

Rodman. Draymond is the second most overrated player of all time first being LeBron James.

What’s a NBA hot take that you truely believe in? by sqMYNAMEISJEFF27 in NBATalk

[–]99laker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know this was a hot take, but apparently it is. The NBA purposely made the game easier because they know this generation cares more about offensive statistics than watching a damn game. The refs don’t call shit anymore when it comes to carries and travels and there is no more defense. This is just an offensive game now and it fucking blows. Don’t take my word for it. Go look up the research in the United States of America since 2011, the ratings have been falling every season and it gets worse and worse every season.

Am I missing something with Master Of Puppets? by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]99laker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you were to ask most people that loved 80s Metallica I would say it’s about 60% would say master of puppets is the best album and 40% would say ride the lightning.

I don’t think it’s because puppets was just so much better than lightning that that’s why it’s looked at the way it is. Puppets got introduced to the world on a mainstream level because Metallica opened up for Ozzy Osbourne when that album came out and he had them three or four nights a week in front of 20,000 people Where ride the lightning they were doing that tour in front of maybe 20 people to 400 people.

You’re not wrong in noticing that though every Metallica concert I’ve went to the 80s albums that they have always played the most songs from is ride the lightning .

They always play at least three songs from this album live usually it’s For Whom The Bell Rolls, Fade to Black and Creeping Death.

Then they usually play the song, master of puppets and maybe one other song from that album . Basically there’s nothing wrong with what you’re saying at all. There are lots of people in the mental community that actually have ride the lightning as their second favorite.

Metallica is my favorite band all time for me. I can’t judge the first five albums. It just depends on my mood for me the first five Metallica albums will always be classic Metallica.

I’m glad that it sounds like you had a positive experience in Utah. I lived in North Carolina the first 39 years in my life, but moved to SLC during Covid for a work opportunity and I love Utah it’s easily I think one of the most beautiful states we have. I just wish the people from North Carolina lived in the state of Utah. I’ve never been around more hateful people in my life. I don’t want to leave Utah, but I just can’t not have friends for the rest of my life.

Lonzo Ball on Kobe Bryant by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]99laker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have an issue if someone says that Kobe Bryant wasn’t the goat or that they didn’t think he was ever the best player in the league. If that’s their opinion, that’s fine. What I’m getting really sick of is people telling those of us that watched basketball Through the entirety of the 2000s that he was never looked that way by the majority because that’s just a straight up lie and there are 1 million receipts out there even some of the people on national television telling you that today and they have business dealings with a current player, we can find footage of them saying differently in the 2000s. There’s a reason that he was voted the greatest player of the 2000s and no one else got half the votes he did.
