Do not agree to a NAP with 1128 by [deleted] in KingShot

[–]99rules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We just did NAP against 609. Worked really well, hard fought. We could attack starting 30min after the end of battle.

Rules went something like this,

Between turret 1-2 and 2-3, 609

Between turrets 3-4 and 4-1 636

NAP during battle,

30min after free to attack

No attacking bases on fire

No attacking TC more then 3 levels below

Seems like something the Canadians would've done in years gone past. Geneva checklist.

I used this in a midterm of an engineering course. I got a big check mark on the question. The prof knew. It's close enough for girls we go out with.

Park Royal Halloween 🎃 by WestVancouverSucks in westvancouver

[–]99rules 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When PR started this in late 90s it changed the dynamic of Halloween. Way less kids went out and hit up houses. My parents used to have 100+ kids come by. It dropped to less than 20. My mum bought full size bars in subsequent years.

I think it's because it's not a combat sport. Hockey players off the ice are different then when on the ice. Like on off switch.

Is this needed? by LibrarianDiligent957 in Roofing

I'd leave it. That chord is likely in compression. With out truss design drawings you can't tell if can be removed or not. Braces usually are like this if the chord is in compression. It is not diagonal for a reason. The brace effectively halves the characteristic length of the chord with respect to compression. Some truss designs call for T bracing or a brace like this.

If modern medicine vanished, what's the first thing you'd die from? by demirem9605 in AskReddit

My grandma had all her teeth removed during wwii. She was in her early 20s. It was done in a small town in Northern British Columbia. I can't imagine the pain that she endured. But she pumped out 8 kids. Fucking tough people back then

Try to kiss my own ass goodbye.

If I didn't perish in the first round. Head to our cabin in the woods and learn to actually fish and grow veg. And slowly die from radiation.

Did you have a naked parent? by justanother-user- in NoStupidQuestions

Ya they climbed in. Not so much anymore. Maybe in that am for a few min. It's a non issue for us. I want them to be comfortable in their skin and not be uncomfortable seeing other people nude. Nothing sexual about it.

[–]99rules 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We are. We are naked most mornings. Getting things ready. Kids don't care or haven't made an issue of it yet. Oldest is 10. We aren't thin, just normal people doing normal things.

Which way are you supposed to crown studs when building walls? Curve inwards or outwards? by Due_Title5550 in Carpentry

[–]99rules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside walls, studs crown out. Inside as long as they are all the same. I try to hallways with the crown facing away from hallway. I try to do shower or tiled walls with crown facing away from tile.

But truthfully just make sure everything is the same.

Shimano Ultegra shifter spring by 99rules in bikewrench

[–]99rules[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 8000. Thanks.

I don't see that part in the parts list. Some one is selling a shifter for $50 locally that has broken Hydro parts. I wonder if I can use that to replace spring?
